Frankly, Emmitt is not the best dancer. He won on his immense likeability and hard work. He is a good dancer. Joey is much more talented. I'm sad, but that's the way it goes. I hope Mario wins. He is the best dancer and has worked very hard. Over the course of the season, I've grown very fond of Karina, too. She wears her heart on her sleeve, a very emotional woman and so talented.

I loved seeing Lisa, Harry and Willa with the tour group.

Dancing With The Stars Results – Joey Lawrence Eliminated

For the Dancing with the Stars final three results show, the judges selected Mario Lopez to dance an encore of the Tango with his partner Karina Smirnoff. After the encore, the professional dancers gave a special performance to the background music of the James Bond theme song. In a sneak preview of the Dancing with the Stars Tour, Joey McIntyre & Kym Johnson, Willa Ford & Maksim Chmerkovskiy, Lisa Rinna & Louis van Amstel, and Harry Hamlin & Ashly Delgrosso performed a group dance routine to the song “Footloose.”

After an update on the Slim-Fast Dance Challenge, The Pet Shop Boys made a special appearance and performed their song “West End Girls.” In a segment on the popularity of Dancing with the Stars, Jimmy Kimmel delivered the classic line, “If you had told me fifteen years ago that there’s going to be a very popular show on prime time on which Jerry Springer would be ballroom dancing, I would probably have gone into a spaceship and left the planet.”

As the three remaining couples stood on stage, Host Tom Bergeron and Samantha Harris announced that first couple moving on to the finals was Mario Lopez & Karina Smirnoff. Emmitt Smith & Cheryl Burke and Joey Lawrence & Edyta Sliwinska were the final two couples up for elimination. Tom Bergeron announced that the couple with the lowest score that would be leaving the competition tonight was Joey Lawrence & Edyta Sliwinska. After his eliminated was announced, Joey Lawrence said “It’s been a wonderful ride, really, I’m very honored to be here, and you know it’s been a pure joy working with Edyta.”

I think Joey was a little bit better of a dancer than Emmitt, but Emmitt is just so fun, so likeable and a joy to watch. I don't think of Mario as cocky either....he's just having a great time and wants to do his best.

Looking forward to next weeks finals....don't they get to do a freestyle dance? That should be interesting. :)

I thought Joey's footwork was good but I always found his upper body stiff, even this week. Whenever his arms went out, they went straight out like boards and he kept them that way. He had a wall of inhibition during most of the competition and I think it's what kept him from loosening up and me from feeling anything from his dances.

I'm thinking the cockiness thing with Mario came up during those weeks where he broke the rules and came back and broke them again. I'm thinking, between that and some of the stuff shown and said during rehearsals and post dances interviews, that maybe he came across as someone more interested in doing his own thing than in playing by the rules. I also got that sense from Louis towards the end and I like Louis a lot. Anyway, the two guys I had heard of before the show, Mario and Joey, put me off in different ways and the guy I had never heard of, Emmitt, had me really enjoying his performances and his energy.

Emmit is not the best techincal dancer but that is his appeal. He dances well but he is entertaining and just a joy. Mario take it way too seriously sometimes and the rule breaking does play a role in why I see him as cocky. I will give him credit that he has toned it down a bit recently but Karina has it. Last week I thought was going to kill the judges when they got two 9's and a 10 instead of 3 10's. Plus, that whole Micheal Jackson number showed that Mario thinks he has this thing. He was so cocky he did a dance that was nothing close to the cha cha. It was a free-style and once again Mario going against the rules and he moved on again. Joey wasn't perfect either but him and Emmit respect the competition. Mario and Karina do not. I do agree that Louis got cocky towards the end as well with his tough choreography and so on.

I will be rooting for Emmit and I think he will win. He is more likeable and always gets a much large ovation for the audience. I think he has the large fanbase between men, sportsfans, etc. Plus, Cheryl has a huge fanbase too. Jerry Rice came in 2nd last year and wasn't even that good so Emmit has a leg up on that fact alone. Emmit reminds me a little of Drew from last year because he and Cheryl rode Stacy's coattails and then blew them away in the finale. I think the same will happen again between Mario and Emmit because Cheryl knows how to win and so does Emmit and they will be amazing. I also don't think Cheryl needs to be kicked off if she wins again. It's not her fault they gave her people that are easy to work with and she is a very good teacher.

I also don't understand why Mario and Karina's tengo was the judges pick for encore performance? There was nothing special about that dance. It was sleep-inducing.

I loved Lisa and Willa. Harry was...eh. Lisa should've never been booted in favor of Jerry and Willa has improved alot and looked hot. I want to see this tour kind of

A bunch of DWTS folks were on "Larry King Live" tonight: Mario, Emmitt, Karina, Cheryl, Joey, Jerry, Monique, Tom and Carrie Ann. Some things I remember:

-Larry asked Mario and Karina outright if there was anything more to them than dance partners and they both denied it. Mario said he was amused by the speculation and Karina said they have a friendship.

-Monique said the hardest thing was the scrutiny and how everybody wanted to know about her life offstage. She talked about being a role model for kids and how she was mindful of not doing anything or being part of anything that might affect that.

-Joey talked about being able to dance with his wife better now. (He strikes me as the type who talks a lot, out of some nervousness, but doesn't really say anything all that interesting because he's kind of repetitive with his comments. Very similar to the way he was on DWTS.)

-Emmitt and Cheryl talked about what they had in common: work ethic, Taurus and that she is 22 and Emmitt's number is 22. Cheryl danced the cha-cha with Larry.

-Jerry mentioned turning down DWTS when they first called him, then they called him again and told him he'd bring something different to the show, and his daughter, Katie, told him to do it. She's getting married in four weeks. Talked about how nice everybody was to him, the other dancers, the audience, and how nobody made fun of him.

-Tom, to explain the show's success, compared it to an old style variety show and that it really had everything...great dancing, the live element, the backstage interviews immediately after, seeing the rehearsals, etc. He's always listening to everything to see if he can riff on something. He also said that Len and Bruno fly back to the U.K. every week to judge that competition.

At the end of the program, Larry mentioned that the actor Jack Palance passed away this afternoon at the age of 87.

Emmit better win. All 3 of his dances were fantastic. I didn't think he blew that lift but I knew he would get a 29. I knew the scores were going to end up being the same because they pulled that crap last week too. It is so fake. Mario and Karina's last dance was good but they didn't take as many risks as Emmit. He never even did an actual air lift. He only lifted her on his back and that was it whereas Emmit had to spin Cheryl and everything. To me, Mario and Karina played it a little more safer.

I thought Mario's dances were lacking but I guess that is because Emmit just brightens the room and is just so charming and fun. Mario is all dance but lacks entertainment.

I do appreciare Mario toning down his attitude the last few weeks but Karina and her annoying, cocky facial expression have got to go. She is the main reason why I can't root for her and Mario.

Bergeron and Harris annoyed me. Like they don't think we can add and figure out that they were tied at the end  . We all heard them say 89 for both after their dances and they expected us to be shocked when they revealed at the end they were tied  . The fans aren't idiots.

 Stacy and George Hamilton sitting together.

Color me not surprised when they knocked a point off Emmitt to tie him up with Mario.

Emmitt's daughters were too funny: "You've got more fans than Mario."

This has been a terrific season. I'm really gonna miss this show. :(

Goooooooooo Emmitt and MVP Cheryl!!!! B)

I think Emmitt deserved the loss and even more. Clearly Mario is the best dancer. Emmitt is so smooth and what a great demeanor he has. You can't help but love him and Cheryl, too. Either Mario or Emmitt can win and I'll be happy, but mostly I think Mario deserves to.

Both Emmitt and Mario had perfect partners to accentuate their styles. Marvelous casting. I'll miss them, too.

Mario, may be the best dancer, but after all the rule breaking and the Michael Jackson-esque cha cha, his Freestyle just didn't seem so freestyle to me.

I thought Emmit did a very good job tonight. Didn't care for his freestyle song but Cheryl managed to come up with a good routine. :)

Mario's freestyle reminded me of Stacy's last year-it was too safe.

He did nothing nor did he try to do anything special. It was just breakdancing and some good moves here and there. He never even attempted a lift, which is what most will do at this stage. His was nothing spectacular while Emmit did fancy footwork, pleased the audience, and did about 3 lifts. Mario's came off as nothing but performing his dancing fantasies, much like his Michael Jackson crap.

I like Mario. I really do. I like how he lost the ego the last few weeks but his partner is extremely cold and unpersonable as well as cocky. She ruins their team for me. He is the best dancer but you also have to entertain and Emmit does that and dances very well. Plus, Emmit risked more on that final dance and it paid off.

I would rather reward someone for working hard and improving like Emmit then someone who it came easy to from day one like Mario. I said the same thing last yeat between Stacy and Drew. It came so easy for Stacy and Drew always seemed to have to work harder to impress and do well. I rooted for Drew last year and I am rooting for Emmit. Cheryl is truly the best partner and teacher in this thing. Love them both!!!

    • It is clear the secret involves some sort of roadside incident so it could have been a police stop. And tge Duprees support a police foundation could one of the clues that Martin's secret involves the police.
    • Hours later, I'm still wondering, what was EJ's plan in going to the hospital today? Does he think it's like a car dealership, and you can simply walk in and make an offer? That's why I laughed when Steve said that Dr. not-Rolf comes and goes.  One gets the sense the people in Salem randomly leave their offices, midday, to talk to relatives and co-conspirators.  I understand, they don't use the phone on soaps.  But, the amount of walking these citizens do in a day is remarkable.
    • Look how long it took to finally write Jack an age appropriate long term relationship with a woman he’s had history with since the damn 80’s.
    • This Sarah/Xander Lake Geneva weekend getaway trip will either be where Xander finds out that Sarah knew about the Phillip situation, or an emergency happens that prevents them from going.  Brownie points for the Lake Geneva mention since that's the getaway for a lot of people that live in northern Illinois/Chicago. EJ is kinda hot... though I never thought that about him when the previous actor played him.  I do think a Dimera owning the hospital would be interesting since the Hortons/Brady's have always had a rivalry with the Dimeras... and carrying that over to the hospital would be organic.
    • In the "things you miss while FFing" category---that 'ho Lillian Raines wanted Ed to keep the affair up and sneak around? Flippin' WHAT THE HELL? Mo should've cut the bitch.
    • Absolutely. And I think Eden could play that in a reduced role, or until a recast comes round. I would easily give her a brainy comic love interest in the Spinelli vein regardless of who is playing Joss. I do think Eden works very hard, and can do certain things well. But I would at the least downshift her and then consider writing her out and bringing on someone else. She is not a lead.
    • I am a couple days behind, but is it just me or do some of the glimpses of Martin's nightmare look like a police traffic stop?
    • IIRC, there was fan outcry when viewers realized Donna was going to be killed, although someone more in the know might have a better idea. Donna was always more popular with viewers than she probably should have been, which I credit Stuart for. I do agree she would have been easier to write out than Felicia or Rachel.  Cass and Donna dated briefly during the Malone run (late 1997). http://www.anotherworldhomepage.com/cassd.html AW should have invested much more in Quinn than they did. All the pieces were in place for her to, at the very least, have a steady build in importance the way Jessica did on ATWT at that time. AW had moved away from usual patterns by bringing Henrietta and Quinn into the show to diversify the canvas. What always bothers me is the comment an AW person gave to SOD after fan complaints over Quinn's death - essentially, they did not know Quinn had any fans. Says it all.
    • I like that the Martin story hasn't been frequent.  The nightmares are airing only periodically.  Each time, we viewers see more of the accident or whatever happened.  I think we might (or at least I might) be annoyed if we saw the nightmares too often.  At this point, I've become more curious, and so, when it's finally revealed, I think the timing will be just right.
