Finally, Chad and Belle are in Italy! And with a new set too.

They were really sweet today and I enjoyed their little throwback to John and Marlena’s remarriage in Italy. And, for the first time, Conner’s Chad looked hot 😍😉😂😂

Regarding all the talk about Conner Floyd’s portrayal of Chad and Chad/Belle’s relationship, I like them both. I think Conner has done a good job from the very beginning. This transition between original actor to recast actor was, honestly, one of the easiest transitions I’ve seen on soaps in a while. And I really enjoyed him standing up to EJ today.

The biggest problem for Conner’s Chad, and the Chad/Belle relationship has always been the writing. Having Chad and Belle basically be so happy and conflict free is a mistake, and I think is the biggest reason why so many fans say they’re boring. Hell, I like them and I think they’re boring lol. And honestly, at this point, and as much as I enjoy Conner’s Chad, if this is all they were going to give him, I don’t see why they couldn’t have just had Abigail revealed to be alive and given her, Chad and the kids a happily ever after once Billy Flynn decided to leave and not recast

There’s plenty of conflict and drama that can be mined from the two of them, especially if Belle/EJ still had unresolved feelings for each other or if Chad still had some feeling for Cat. That also would’ve been a much, much better for reason for EJ to tag along with them to Italy, rather than anything that had to do with Stefano and could’ve provide Chad/Belle with a much more interesting, layered storyline if the writers had found a way to further tie it to the Stefano mystery. I don’t understand why we couldn’t have gotten that, or why the EJelle relationship has always been basically a nonissue for Chad and Belle, when it really should be the biggest conflict for them.

And as hot as Chad looked today, I also think they should have waited a little longer to let them finally have sex. Maybe sometime during their trip, after a romantic evening in Rome or something, would have been a better choice, rather than having them do it as soon as they got to Italy. It kinda diminishes them as a couple, IMO.

I am glad that Rita didn’t keep Stefano’s ring for herself though. That would’ve been just stupid. And now that the mystery man has it, I’m curious to see what’s going to happen, and who this guy is. I have an idea.

But Idk if I buy Kate as being so worried about EJ, or Ari’s safety at Dimera. She’s a lot tougher than that. But I am somewhat interested in the idea of Gabi asking Kate to get Ari out of Dimera, mostly because of what it could to lead to for Gabi, Ari and everybody. The writers didn’t use Ari interning at Dimera as a very effective catalyst for her and her storylines; hopefully her leaving it ends up being an effective one.

And while I do think we should have seen Kate formally accept the job at The Spectator, I don’t mind her working there or that she’s Leo boss. Hopefully, she puts his pointless ass in his place at least 😂😂😂

Btw, the little mentions of that B&S abomination, the Soapy Podcast with Greg and Rebecca, and Leo calling Cat, “Kitty-Kat” like he’s Leslie on BTG felt very Ron/Jamey-like.

Speaking of Leo, him/Gwen… Skip. Just kill them both off. Another liquid lunch with Gwen, Gabi and Cat as they commiserated about EJ wasn’t necessary either. And I really hope he isn’t responsible for the fake GabiChic bags scheme too. Btw, those Bloody Marys that they were all drinking looked nasty af

I may have a joyless, cold heart, but Victoria singing for so LONG gave me Violet from GH vibes. Like whatever, the kids cute, but that was multiple minutes of my time.

  • I'm sure it's been mentioned around, but Deidre Hall has a prominent guest spot on this week's Star Trek: Strange New Worlds on Paramount+ - playing a ship's counselor naturally, the predecessor to Ma

Unless I'm seeing things, I think Robert Scott Wilson had some wood problems on Wednesdays show.

I saw partial episodes here and there just now and the only thing interesting about the show is the shirtless male scenes of Tate, Chad and RSW.

The shower scene with Tate could've been better. We could've seen more of Tate.

Whatever happened to the male nude scenes? This show needs something interesting to have viewers watching it.

What a coincidence! I thought the same thing 😂😂😂

Maybe they had Holly scrub his back instead of his front because they were worried she’d wipe away the tattoo coverup 😉😂

Today started off a little slow, but got better as the episode went on.

We got some good development in some storylines, but there was also some unnecessary nonsense. Did Joy really need to have another fantasy about married life with Alex?

No GIF by Joey Graceffa

Thankfully, it didn’t last as long as the previous one.

Stephanie telling Kayla that marrying Alex may have been a mistake was a bit of a surprise, but it feels like a natural progression for her. I’m glad that her POV has always been one of the most important dynamics of this storyline and that we’ve continued to get it. But I do think Joy’s POV needs to be written a lot better though. Hopefully, we’ll get that now that it looks like Joy actually may be paralyzed. But I’m still liking the buildup of this storyline and hopefully the climax and the aftermath of all this is just as big.

While Johnny becoming EJ’s lapdog will always be a mistake, I am a little interested in the idea of him and Theo possibly being at odds, or with the way that Johnny was speaking to Xander today, realizing how stupid he’s been lately lol and join up with Xander, Sarah, Brady, etc. to take down EJ. Xander using his own past mistakes with Sarah to caution Johnny against taking Chanel and his kids for granted was a good idea as well. And now that Steve and Brady know that Johnny was the one who left the clue to save Holly in Sarah’s office, I’m curious to see what’s going to happen. I actually wouldn’t mind Brady and Steve being the catalyst that motivates Johnny to finally turn on EJ, even though at the same time, I do think there are more effective ways/characters that could lead Johnny to do so. This whole taking down EJ storyline has been really clunky, but it does seem to slowly be coming together.

And yeah, hopefully George gets killed off at some point during this whole Coriseal storyline. I don’t like this character, and the way he was speaking today sounded like he was doing a bad Telly Savalas impression lol and he looks like Konstantin 🤮🤮

Welcome, Sydney!

I imagine some fans are annoyed that we're getting another Dimera character on the canvas and I understand why lol but at the same time, I always think that it's good to introduce another younger, legacy character as a way of helping to build the next generation. Plus, I'd much rather they bring in a character like Sydney rather than an older, long gone character like Lexie or Peter that's in and out in just a few months. There's so much that can be done with her... and so many people that she could be paired with. I just really hope the writers remember that Sydney is also a Brady and an Evans-Black too. She doesn't need to be kept in this Dimera bubble like Johnny often is. And yeah, I gotta say it lol the actress is very pretty. Too soon to make any judgments about her acting though.

And while I don't like the whole Philip's poker game thing, I am a little interested in the idea of Philip and Sydney going head to head in the game, and that the game was organized by Sami's fiancee, Dante. I don't exactly love it but I don't hate it either. I wonder how this is going to end up playing out. Btw, the poker room set looked dark as hell 😂

We also learned a little more about Mason today, and the reason why he doesn't like Holly. I don't exactly mind it, but I do wish this particular storyline had been a little more layered and had not been dropped a few months ago, and then revived now. Why do soaps always do that with some of their storylines?

Tate and Holly were really sweet in the beginning. I wonder who sent her the creepy text though. And Tate looked hot too 😍😂

And as always, Leo was just a creepy, stalker-ish waste of time. With the way GR plays it, I don't understand how any fan could like this. I would much rather Marlena had spent more time with Tate than him. And the thought of him having a podcast at The Spectator makes me a little sick.

These writers seem particularly bad at it. The whole show just feels mushy to me. Stuff happens, then is forgotten, then maybe comes up later... there's no propulsion to it.

I'm excited to see Sydney's debut when I can watch later today. Obviously she's an important character to have around. I wish Nicole were on-canvas for this, because their dynamic could be so interesting, but maybe they can channel a little of that history via Holly somehow.

Hopefully Sydney will be the child Sami actually deserves, IYKWIM.

Leo always saves the show for me. The rest is just blah! Nothing happens! Cwickly and Ford write scenes, not stories.

GH used to do that all the time. BTG does it, and now Days does it too.

And it's such a strange way to tell a story. I don't understand how any writer, producers, etc. could think that kind of structure or style is good.

Mason's introduction should have been tied to Amy's lawsuit against Holly, which shouldn't have been dropped so quickly. And while I have no use for Kristen, the effects of her "killing" Sophia should still be playing out onscreen.

Holly vs. Sydney over Nicole's affections would have been so good, especially if Sami was still on the canvas.

Thing is, I kind of get what they're trying to do. They're trying to plant a bit of a seed of a story that they can pick up later on and it doesn't just come entirely out of the blue. The issue is that they're dropping too big of an anvil that it's no longer a little seed, a tease or a moment of "hm, was that something". It's full on blinking red lights that something is up, so when they don't follow it up it becomes a bit huh because you'd think the characters on screen would notice it.

Yeah.

If anything, they should always just introduce a story idea, make it simmer on the backburner for a little bit, then go all out with it and make it frontburner.

That would be a lot better than this start-stop-start again writing style

They're really laying it on thick that the Kiriakises are gonna lose the mansion lol

Since Maggie brought up that they have until the end of the next day before the sale becomes official, I imagine that Philip and Gabi will show up with some last minute reprieve. But in the mean time, I really enjoyed Xander and Maggie today. She gave him the ego boost that he really needed right now, both about losing the mansion and about Sarah. They've always had such a nice relationship and I like that it's getting back to such a civil place. I hope Maggie continues to play a part in Xander's storylines and in his eventual reunion with Sarah.

I actually didn't expect Chad and Belle's investigation to be tied to the guy who's buying the mansion though. Despite the clunkiness lol, I think that tying these two storylines together was actually a good idea. I'm really curious to see how this is all going to play out.

As for Rafe blowing up Gwen's plan to buy the hospital, I still don't really care that much lol but at the same time, I don't completely hate the idea. But I would much rather he use Gwen (and Dimitri) in order to try and bring EJ down for good. It's just a better story dynamic... and it would be nice to see Dimitri again 😊😊

I did like that Rafe seemed so concerned about Sydney though. Hopefully, they end up having a similar relationship to Rafe and Johnny.

Btw, I would much rather have seen Javi at the gym than Leo and Gwen just being annoying again.

I'm an elderly person who has lived in several parts of the USA, and I've never known anyone (parent or child) who was part of a "daddy-daughter dance". The only places I've heard of it were on B&B a few years ago and on DAYS now. Really, I had never heard of it before Liam doing that on B&B. Is this a common thing? It just seems really weird (to me).

My brother took my niece to one a few years ago.

How well-timed, I was peeking in here before I had to go to see how my boy CF was doing with you all. Good to see he's doing okay.

I was curious as well. I have finally reached February in my Days viewing 😂😂
