All his episodes will probably be around 50 minutes since the 35-40 minute episodes were already completed and then John's scenes added into them. He hasn't added Days to his IMDB roles yet, but Zach

Since this thread kinda like died this month lol I’m curious, is anybody still reading my posts? 😂😂😂

I read your posts every day. I'm still binging DAYS on weekends, though, and that limits my posting about it. I do agree with just about everything you say.

This new Javi is not good, and I have no idea why we are wasting screen time on him and Gus. And them existing solely in service of Leo makes it even worse.

I don't like the casting for Javi, either. Jacob Martinez just isn't very good, and cannot pull off the "I love kids" stuff. Michael Ocampo (Gus) does not have chemistry with Martinez.

And don't get me started on Javi still in his feels about Leo. I wasn't crazy about Al Calderon's performance, but at least seeing him with Greg Rikaart didn't make me wince and cringe.

The show is going the wrong way with Gus/Javi. I know we are supposed to see Gus as wrong for Javi or a heavy, but he's the only rational one here. He's not sure about kids, is upfront about it and says he might be open to kids in the future yet doesn't have much experience with babies. He thinks Leo is weird and obsessive. He thinks Javi should not worry about Leo this much if he's in a relationship with him. That's normal behavior for a person in a committed relationship in the early stages. I guess he's too normal lol.

This is so on point -- in every way. I have no idea what thee writers are doing, because this stuff is terrible.

And does any show do a worse job than DAYS of inserting baby-in-a-stroller video into a scene? My God.

It's like Gus is the only person in Salem that realizes Javi's relationship with Leo is inherently weird. The few people that dislike Leo are more upset that Leo broke Javi's heart. They aren't breathing a sigh of relief he dodged that bullet lol.

NuJavi doesn't have chemistry with Gus or Leo, tbh. Weird casting because he does read very young.

Aren't they all the exact same singular baby video for every stroller scene with Trey and Kelsey? It's silly because honestly I could care less what the kids look like. I got it the first ten times.

No ads today!

Too bad that today was a bit of a mixed bag though. There was also a lot of telling instead of showing

Everything surrounding the Kiriakis family was the best part. And I'm interested in seeing what's going to happen once everyone finds out that Philip and Xander used Dimera money to pay off their loan. And although I think that Philip playing matchmaker was a little sudden and could have been built up a little better, I had no problem with him locking Sarah and Xander in the wine cellar. His explanation to Kate did make a lot of sense but I would've liked to have seen more of his planning play out onscreen. And I did think he was right when he said Brady basically set himself up for failure 😂😂

Xander and Sarah were really sweet. I wish their scenes had gone on a little longer. And despite the overall clunkiness of everything, I do really like that they're finally on the road to finding their way back to each other. I'm looking forward to seeing it all play out.

Belle and Chad suddenly putting off their Italy trip feels like a letdown though, almost as if there was a shift in the writing. I mean, why would the writers plan it out for so long if Chad and Belle weren't going to end up going? Hopefully, they do end up going to Italy at some point. And also since Chad and Xander both mentioned it, hopefully that upcoming father-daughter dance ends up meaning something too.

As for EJ/Lexie, they were the perfect example today of something that should have been seen, not told. I would much rather have seen Lexie regain consciousness and get Kristen out of the container rather than just hearing her tell EJ about it. Plus, it would have been much more suspenseful and action packed if Lexie was fighting hard to get Kristen out of the container, all while EJ and Rita were rushing to the airstrip. Regardless of budget issues, etc., I do think that Days could have made all of that work a lot better.

There was also a little too much talk of Leo. But despite his storyline, I am looking forward to tomorrow 😉😊🥰🥰

Days is so bad. I wish we didn’t know that we have to wait months until Cwikly’s crap stops airing. Everything about the show is off. Maxam hasn’t done anything to improve the show. It’s a mess, thus the lack of comments. There’s not much to talk about.

Really odd they dropped Chad/Belle's trip to Italy. It makes no sense. Sure, they are boring, but why even bring it up for episodes on end? And to basically say it won't ever happen? So weird.

Also, Jack/Jenn. The show wants me to believe they dropped Charlotte and Thomas off a month early? The people that were fighting Chad tooth and nail for full custody? Sure, okay. I am 100% sure Chad could have convinced them to keep the kids for one more week. Is a father/daughter dance that big of a deal? I didn't even think they were common these days.

Yeah, weird casting overall. The gay love triangle feels like a bunch of misfits that don't gel. De-aged (if not by age, certainly by appearance) Javi & Leo look like a twink longing for a broke zaddy who's still trying to play the twink role of the coupling.

As for Gus... did no else show up at casting the day this guy was hired?

Not a big deal at all.

I just hope something happens. Like Sarah and Xander finally kiss. Or Sophia walks in and exposes Kristen to Brady and Rachel. Something like that 😂

A poor man's Paul/Will/Sonny, even though I admit, I do like Javi/Gus together 😂

I just wish the whole storyline wasn't so formulaic

You nailed it about Javi and Leo. And yeah, the casting of both Javi and Gus is just plain bad. I have no idea what they're doing, especially when we know what's coming with so many cast departures.

Absolutely nailed it about Gus. Horrible casting.

I think the Javi casting is worse. If Javi were cast properly -- and not as a twink who looks like he goes clubbing 5x a week while having feelings for a middle-aged loser -- the Gus casting might work.

I also think both nuJavi and nuGus might work as a pair if they were not in Leo's orbit at all. The writing is insane.

Horrible casting. NuJavi is the worst.

Despite the fact that his storyline sucks, his scene partners suck, and that Days is wasting him terribly, welcome back, Peter Porte! I've missed you! 😍😍😍🥰

Regardless of everything, it was so nice to see that handsome face... and that hot body, on my TV again 😍😍😍😍

Unfortunately, it was the same sad old nonsense for him today. And the fact that Dimitri wants Leo again, after telling him off so good just a few months ago, makes me nauseous. I mean, I'm sure Peter had fun and I'm glad that he did, and he does have really good chemistry with Emily O'Brien, but he deserves much, much better than to be constantly paired up with two of the worst characters on the show. Sometimes, the best thing for a character is to get them away from the character(s) that they often get stuck with, and that's definitely the case here. I wish Days would finally wake up and realize what they have in Peter Porte/Dimitri. There's so much that can be done with the character, and I'm sure Peter Porte can pull it off. And not for nothing, if they're gonna continue to shove Dimeras down our throats, at least shove down the one that has the most story opportunities #Dandrew#heatedrivalry#Dark#Daaron#Davi

I liked that we got some follow up with Xander and Sarah too, even though I think they should've spent more time locked in the wine cellar. Maybe it would've been better if yesterday had ended with the two of them about to kiss, only for Philip to interrupt them at the beginning of today. But I enjoyed Xander and Marlena's session. Paul Telfer always does a really good job but I think he particularly stands out the most when he drops Xander's tough facade and shows his vulnerability to other people. And, it did also look like there were finally some cracks forming in Brady and Sarah's relationship too lol

And while Javi was looking really good today too, I still feel bad for him and Gus. They're in the same exact boat as Dimitri; wasted actors/characters that deserve better than what they're getting. Javi going off to Alamainia is just sad. The only way I could possibly get behind it would be if he and Dimitri end up falling for each other 😂

This was such a snoozy episode.

We're really not even trying to re-dress the sets at this point, are we? Dimitri and Gwen were clearly just in the Kiriakis living room with some crap moved around.

Those Javi/Gus scenes took all episode and could've been, like, two scenes total.

I will say, they've done a decent job resetting Sarah and Xander during this separation, and I'm sort of cringing at Brady inevitably getting his heart broken, which I think is the point. So that's working okay.
