I think I may have seen it mentioned here before people wondering if Jon Lindstrom and Cady McClain were friends. Turns out they are. Cady posted they are close friends.

"I happen to be spectacular friends with these spectacular people, one of whom happens to be my rather talented and kind ex-husband. If it baffles you… I can’t help you. It is my experience that many people like to put other people in little boxes so they can feel more comfortable. I’m more comfortable out of the box, thank you, and so are the people I like the best. We all enjoyed a lovely dinner and a very fine time."

The Nicole/Carlton/Kial story is a reason why there should be a straight male on the writing team that would advise the women in charge that men don't act like this.. that this story is a fantasy of what women wish men would act like

Very well said. And all these plastic, dreamy, ego-less men (Andre, Kial, Izaiah, Jacob) don't make for good drama.

-- I am glad to know Jessica and Tyrell used protection and Tyrell's conversation with Martin about sex and coming out was a good one.

Was it?
'My first time was a mess too, just like yours'
'Really, dad?'
'Yes, it was with a girl... and I was gay' lmaooo That was involuntarily hilarious.

Ashley is acting the grieving widow because she feels immense guilt over the way she treated Derek.. and I'm going to be honest in saying that he didn't lie to her at all. He was just waiting till he could actually walk before telling her while Grayson was caught in a huge Operation... but she'll be back in his bed by 4th of July.

Big agree. Derek did nothing wrong. While Greyson is a criminal.

BTW I also dislike Greyson's terrible dye job and the fact he's never once smiled, apart from his first appearance.

She acts like everything is a person affront and TBH I'm tired of it.

I can't stand Nicole anymore. She's uppity, entitled and insufferable. And she must be an awful shrink.

What would that accomplish? Writers discourage stuff like that bc they cant use fan fiction submitted to them for obvious reasons. An email paper trail is a lawsuit waiting to happen

Reminds me of my former boyfriend. Great songwriter and singer. Wouldn't post anything on Youtube cause 'they could have stolen his songs'. Never heard him on the radio and probably never will.

If you want to do something with your life, do it, take actions. Otherwise do not complain about people 'poo-poohing' 🤷‍♂️ on your ideas on a message board.

That firefighter portrait of Derek didn't look right. It's like production ran Ben Gavin's photo through AI to make firefighter photo and it got his face slightly wrong.

Bill and Dani's scenes were misplaced for this episode. That was an obvious breakdown writing issue.

Vanessa continues to be annoying. Derek's memorial was the last place where she should have been fishing for information to see if her precious Joey was involved with the plasma ring and it was doubly inappropriate for her to bother Jacob with that nonsense when he is upset over losing his best friend.

I thought the same thing! What a silly mistake...

Most of all they were discussing something they should've buried a long time ago. Why is Mike so relevant... The lawsuit was months ago.

LOL...the lawsuit is current. That issue hasnt been settled yet. If you are talking about the one vs Mike from last year, it was being discussed bc Mike is back in the picture and going up against Bill and Naomi. Thats why its relevant

I love that Leslie has Hayley's number. I love these two together - whether they develop a frenemy situation or just enemies, it's always so much fun.

Today's episode is all over the place. Disappointing for a Friday episode and after such a great week last week.

original release date: Friday, May 29, 2026 | writers: Natalie Minardi Slater, Danielle Paige | director: Sonia Blangiardo-Goins

Thoughts:

  • Appetisers? Oh la-la. It looks like the boom-boom is coming back into Anita's and Vernon's marriage. And I love seeing it. Jewelry and lingerie? Oh la-la. Vernon is just doing all the right things. I love it.

  • Joey relying on Bill's assistance is scary. Real scary. And it makes me wonder just how far back it goes.

  • The fact that Dana continues to clock Hayley and the game she is poorly playing should really stand out more to her than it actually is. It is like they say: keep your friends close and your enemies closer, and Dana is an enemy. A glaring one.

  • Jacob trying to fluff up what happened is not going to make it go away. He has just got to be more honest with Naomi and trust his wife.

  • I like that Chelsea is for Anita and Vernon still having fire in their marriage, and Katherine needs to remember that she is living in their house, so they should be allowed to have sex on their own couch. They have earned that.

  • Yes, kick those shoes off, Anita! Get into it! Be with your man! Yasssss!!!!

  • Dirty talk? I like the vibes of this so much. Get it! Yes!!!! We know who dominates in that bedroom. Ba-bam! Not another interruption, but good ol' Vernon is not taking them anymore. Get the family OUT of that house and get your wife! Enough cucking.

  • Not Dana airdropping her contact information into Hayley's phone. This is why I have an older phone that does not have that feature and even if I did, I would turn it off.

  • The Dupree family members commiserating at Uptown is brilliant.

  • Bill calling Dana satan was brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. That came straight from Dani's influence.

  • Hilarious that both Chelsea and Katherine are making fun of Jessica and Tyrell ditching the cotillion to have sex. 🤣 Even more uncomfy for him, and it is nice to see him squirm about it.

  • It is nice seeing Vanessa being transparent about still going through her grief about Douglas' death and that finally cleaning out his locker really just reignited things.

  • Joey is surely not taking the hint that Vanessa is pulling back from him, and it is not something he is liking.

  • Not the Impaler wanting a meeting... I can only imagine they are not happy with what has gone down.

  • Damn. Vernon booked a hotel room! A romantic getaway where not a single family member can walk in on them. Sometimes, those kinds of getaways are so important. And yes, the "do not disturb" plaque is up and in use!

Notes:

  • I could tell from the first scenes that this was going to be a Slater breakdown. An absolute ease and air to the episode. And paired with Page (the second-best scriptwriter), this is a winning episode from beginning to end.

  • The continued approach to sex positivity on this soap is unlike any other. I love seeing characters like Anita and Vernon still have that electric spark. Just because you are of a certain age does not mean the desire and urge for sex just disappears.
