BTG: May 2026 Discussion Thread

I would think Kat tampering with the evidence would deem it in admissible and make it seem like Kat was framing Leslie/SPS.

Of course, if that actually happened we couldn't have the writers presenting Kat as a Nancy Drew girl boss...and in 2026, that is a requirement (sarcasm).

Phyllis went years before it came out she ran down the Bug and Paul so I could see the show holding off on exposing SPS. With that said, the writers could have her occupied with stories outside her Teddy bear and the Duprees. Explore her life with Eva pre 2024...I'm sure there was a relative and/or enemy of hers from her years in Chicago.

For some reason I thought this site had a fan fiction page.

The blog section is where all the fan fiction is.

Thanks, because I was wondering like..........

@DramatistDreamer I enjoyed your plot machinations. Maybe they're not for everyone, but I think you have a lot of good ideas and I don't see a problem with a post like this. It's not as if you write them all the time.

I missed where anyone said they had a problem with it. Can you point it out?

I don’t understand for the life of me why someone who’s so passionate is not willing to e-mail their fan fiction/ideas or at least contact the writers in some way but would rather just share said ideas (quite thoroughly) on a message board.

Also if one believes the writers come on here to steal story ideas buried in hundreds of discussion pages, well, that’s giving delulu.

What would that accomplish? Writers discourage stuff like that bc they cant use fan fiction submitted to them for obvious reasons. An email paper trail is a lawsuit waiting to happen

original release date: Tuesday, May 26, 2026 | writers: Sara A. Bibel, Skyy Sandifer | director: Sonia Blangiardo-Goins

Thoughts:

  • Nicole is very intuitive, but I do not think Vanessa wants Joey to step into a paternal role where Deanna and Donnell are concerned. But you might just be on the right track.

  • Well, Douglas is comporial, but we have learned before that does not necessarily mean anything.

  • Dana, you calling Lia "not a good crook" when you are far from a criminal mastermind.

  • Another very public meeting between Hayley and Randy at Uptown. They are dumber than rocks.

  • Well, it looks like Bill's hand tremors have made their return. The poisoning has continued!

  • A facade? Oh yes, this is via Deanna's mind, telling her that Joey is manipulating Vanessa.

  • Good to see Katherine and Ted catching up at Orphey Gene's. I know the spoilt bitch has been wanting this, so I am glad that he gave it to her so she would shut up about it.

  • As cold as Dana is and as one-track-minded as she is, I am glad to see Eva mourning her friend and someone she had worked with and keeping Dana at bay.

  • Hayley, what you need and deserve is to be in a jail cell until your final days.

  • I love how happy and smitten both Kial and Nicole are to see each other. Like Vanessa, I would be making my way out of there like my life had depended on it, with the same pep in my step she had.

  • Good cover, Deanna, with covering that you "saw" Douglas. It is now making sense why she has had her foot pressed firmly onto Donnell's neck where Vanessa's relationship is concerned with Joey.

  • Very nice of Eva to pay Katherine a compliment; I wish I could say the same in return, but it felt less than genuine and authentic in return.

  • Well, it looks like Sarah is not on Kial's mind when he is intimate with Nicole, and since we have yet to see that she is thinking of Ted with him, it is safe to say that Carlton is not the one she is meant to be with.

  • Kial has most definitely fallen for Nicole. It is beyond apparent. And it is cute that they are working on their respective works together, cuddling on the couch, and in their reading glasses.

  • Does Bill suspect something is going on? I mean, that drink was not even stirred.

  • Vanessa's use of the phrase "real you" sticks out to me. It does.

  • Deanna, making your mental break in the hallway of the country club is not a good idea. He will not come to you that easily.

Notes:

  • Bibel and Sandifer did very well today as a team. And I appreciate that Bill's hand tremors are being reintroduced as a characteristic side effect of Hayley's poison.

  • Welcome back to Jason Graham (Douglas), who is doing well in his portrayal of Douglas. He does feel a bit cold, which is throwing the scenes off (in a good way), because he is coming off cold as a figment of Deanna's mind, but could Douglas also be alive somewhere else? It is possible. But it is a good shift to show that he is likely active within Deanna's mindset.

  • Angela Fairley (Deanna) did a great job in today's episode. Not sure if her nuances were always intended to be part of her portrayal but if they were not, then she is incredibly lucky that she infused it since day one.

LMAO I love that sorry ol' Van came out of hiding just to whine that the show didn't get cancelled. See you in 2028!

Lol. Baby don't even waste your time in my direction. Playground antics and paranoia had no place with me then, and they certainly have no place with me now. I'm actually thrilled that the show has been awarded time. Because maybe now after so many people have expressed some level of displeasure, they may use this time to consider listening (or not).

Come on, MontyB. I don't want to argue about this or anything else, but you know you made an indirect comment about it that wasn't subtle:

I think you did have a negative response to those posts. All I did was say I enjoyed the post and that I know they're not for everyone.

So, yes, I do think you threw some shade on the "fanfic," and all I wanted to do was to let that poster know I appreciated the ideas. I even implied I didn't want to see those kinds of posts all the time.

I know I nitpick around here and that I'm not everyone's (anyone's??) idea of "fun to read." I've felt for some time that I'm not on your list of those you can't wait to hear from. You have to know you've been sending those signals.

Still, I like this board, and I appreciate the diversity of ideas. I have enjoyed your posts and take on the show, and I really don't want to have beef with you or anyone else.

I agree with you that fanfics shouldn't take over this board or even have any kind of presence. I did appreciate the one that was offered -- and that we had a difference of opinion on.

P.S. Wait until you see my list of nitpicks from today's show! 😂 Let's hope for a good week of BTG.

Well, don't forget, Michele Val Jean is a bootlicker (per their own words) because their measly comic (was it a comic?) wasn't being paid attention to.

I definitely did ask that question because of the prior post, but it wasn't because of what you said.

I'm not going to go into a long spiel of why I asked.

I'm going to leave that right there.
