I'll admit that I was one of those who thought Stefano was already confirmed dead especially with that dumb Stevano storyline, but I guess not lol. So it kind of confused me that this was even a thing.

I don't MIND that they did this, because it was kind of dangling out there that he could be alive. Since the actor passed away ten years ago (!) and therefore we knew he wouldn't be returning, it didn't feel like that much of a loose end to me. However, I fear there is more stupidity coming as far as Stefano's legacy/"essence"/whateverthef*ck...

I agree that it's time to move on. The idea of Stefano should always hang over people like Marlena, Roman, Hope, EJ, Kristen, etc., but he's dead. Make like Elsa and let it go, Days.

Never knew that Johnny was so close to his no no. This whole Stefano thing was so lethargic. No energy to the scenes. Stefano deserved a better send off years ago. This was a waste of time. Stefano died when Joe Mascolo died - in 2016.

-- This Stefano stuff is deadly. No one cares any more.

-- Haven't we been through enough with recent actor deaths? Now we have to mourn again? Jesus.

-- I had to laugh at the flashback shown on Friday of Marlene dancing at a ball with Stefano. Yes, the were tons of extras and it looked like the show had a budget.

But the clip itself? Stefano and Marlene danced in circles. Then more circles. There was no other move but to spin in a circle. I was howling 😂 😆 😂

I actually enjoyed watching I thought it was nice and past time that they give Stefano a final farewell. One of the few things these writers have done right. May Stefano finally rest in peace. 🖤

… but those candles going out at the end of the episode bone chilling makes me think something is about to happen.

Never thought I'd say this, but I liked the little Roman moment when he got to say, "Checkmate, you old bastard" to Stefano's urn with the portrait looming over his shoulder. And that ending with the candles going out and Marlena turning, startled, to look at Stefano's portrait was nice. I know it isn't leading anywhere especially compelling, but good Friday ending!

I agree - that was one of the best lines Josh Taylor has ever been given. And Roman was right…in the end…he did win.

I will take more Kate any way I can get her.

Agreed. I’ll always say yes to Kate. I liked her little monologue to Stefano’s urn. Lauren is always great.

First who is Marlene?😂😁😉

And I agree with the bolded part.

Finally, Alex and Jeremy had their showdown!

Too bad that it took this long though. This definitely needed to happen before now and much more frequently. The two of them constantly hating on each other and beating the crap out of each other could have been the shot in the arm that this storyline needed. And it also could've caused some good conflict for Alex and Stephanie as well, if she slowly began to fear that Alex was just as toxic as Jeremy. But I did enjoy the showdown today, despite the fact that RSW seemed to be channeling his inner Maurice Bernard once again lol but Michael Roark did a good job. I like that Jeremy had no time for Alex's crap. I'm interested in seeing what happens for all of them once this stalker storyline is finally resolved.

And as always, Peter Porte did a good job as well. As much as I dislike this storyline, and the fact that I wish Dimitri wasn't being written as so campy, he plays it well. Kinda similar to Louise Sorel actually. He also did very well once he and Leo were talking in the Square, despite the fact that all the talk of their relationship, and Leo admitting that he still loves Dimitri made me want to throw up 🤮🤮

To me, it was all just more proof that Dimitri/PP is being wasted once again, and that really, really sucks. He's too talented for this nonsense, and he proves it every time. The problem is, and always has been, Leo. This character just ruins everything and everyone that he comes into contact with. He's like a black hole. This would all be working so much better if Dimitri was in love with Andrew, and trying to win him over. Or Will. Or Sonny. Anybody but Leo. Any character that doesn't suck the life out of everything like he's a damn Sanderson sister lol. Plus, regardless of my hatred for Leo, there are so many more story possibilities if Dimitri was in love with Will, Sonny, Andrew, etc. But now that Rafe has shown up to arrest Dimitri, maybe he'll finally get one of those better story possibilities. I hope.

As for Eli, I'm glad to hear that he and Lani and the kids are moving back to Salem. I'm looking forward to seeing how they're weaved back into the canvas. And, it was nice seeing Julie so happy.

Why didn’t we see more flashbacks in the Friday episode to the decades of terror Stefano DiMera inflicted on Salem starting from his earliest appearances in 1982 And I’m glad Marlena finally got some closure

Peter Porte obviously loves working with Greg and I’m sure that played into his decision to return to Days. Loved the Leo and Dimitri scenes today. Greg has chemistry with his on screen partners. I actually liked today’s show, despite the dull headwriters.

I love that Eli is back ❤️

Whatever happened to Vivian's other son, Quinn? He was around during the 2011 era. Apparently he's dead, according to Vivian's dialogue last week, unless the writers simply forgot about him. I never understood where he came from in the first place in the timeline of Viv's life.

I see Peter Porte has been attending the Cady McClain School of Regressive Soap Opera Acting. He's so hammy and over-the-top.

😂😆 😂 I didn't realize until your post that autocorrect gave me Marlene instead of Marlena.

She's Marlena's alter ego, a trashy broad who works at a roadside diner in Fort Worth, TX.

He was still alive when he left town: https://daysofourlives.fandom.com/wiki/Quinn_Hudson

Is she one of the Marlena clones? 😂😂
