I know @Vee loves them but Brad and Britt are not the gay icons this show thinks they are.

I despise them from the deepest pit of my black heart. Stop trolling me and repeating all my opinions from our private rendezvouses.

I also think they're making Trina so unlikable and irrelevant that they can write her off without any major backlash.

As for today's episode, I wish Drew were the one being written off. He's crossed from being an enjoyable villain to go away heat. The writers haven't given him one redeeming quality. Even Sidwell has more rooting value and he just shot someone (although no one will miss Dalton). Everyone is worried about Scout but I can't get over how nasty Drew is to Danny. That's Sam's son. He helped raise him. But now all Drew does is bully Danny and keep him from his sister. Alexis needs to tap into her Natasha Cassadine side and do something.

Michael has such an intense vibe to him. I dig it. I can imagine Jacinda seeing his evil side up close if she's secretly helping Alexis on Nina's orders.

I do enjoy that Kristina is basically a non factor these days. The same should happen with Sonny.

Nice of Run BLQ to wear her best gold chain to the family Christmas party. How is her grandmother more stylish than her? Jane looked lovely as always. She's just so stunning.

In the corner we had Michael dressed like he's one of the Roxbury guys. I can't wait until this shooting story is over so Rory can be hot, Michael can make big moves that we see and be free of the dayplayer we're supposed to believe is a worthwhile love interest for him.

Trina acting like a toddler over the dissolution of her parents' marriage as if they've been together all her life is crazy work. Girl, you're nearly old enough to be off their insurance and guess what? You were never on his because you met him two days ago. Where the hell is Taggert?!

Jordan's a whole weirdo for showing up to Portia's family's holiday party. I know she has literally nothing else going on in her life, her son has disappeared and her "undercover" operation ended when those Sidwell checks started clearing but yeesh.

Curtis is the same level of angry no matter what's upset him. He's always at Field Trip Chaperone Upset Over Minor Change in Schedule.

Brook Kerr is carrying That Black Storyline on her biracial back but man, Portia always sounds like she's about to kill someone or just finished killing someone.

I know @Vee loves them but Brad and Britt are not the gay icons this show thinks they are. Watching the two of them Yas Queen-ing it up is painful. Also Parry Shen simply isn't a good actor. He's also not hot! Sure perhaps Marco is evil but who cares (if you've ever met a gay man you know how very little they care)?! Is Lucas really expected to be torn because mid broke loser Brad and maybe evil but very hot and rich and hot Marco? Please!

We really needed Sonny at three celebrations huh? So Maurice could fulfill his contractual obligation to smile. The man is clearly in pain! Let him go home!

I love this entire post way too much. Thanks for the truths and the laughs!

-- Regarding "Brad and Britt are not the gay icons this show thinks they are. Watching the two of them Yas Queen-ing it up is painful. Also Parry Shen simply isn't a good actor. He's also not hot!" I have a confession. When Ryan Carnes played Lucas, I honestly thought he and Parry Shen had chemistry. I never found him hot the way Carnes is a smokeshow, but I found him attractive. Now? No. Get him off my screen.

-- I'm still infatuated with Rory Gibson. His Michael is brooding and sexy in all the right ways.

-- Trina's role has been rinse and repeat, but I still think she's getting better materials than Josslyn, who is a complete joke. And I can never take the character Brennan seriously when Joss is such a major player in his world.

P.S. I could not care less about Kevin and whether or not he goes to Dublin for 6 months. It's hilarious that they think we care about the Laura/Kevin relationship.

It is strange Trina is THAT invested in her parents marriage, especially since it really doesn't affect her life much. She doesn't even live with them lol. Tbh, though, the entire Ashford clan seems to be obsessed with Curtis's love life, not just Trina.

I am the first to admit I preferred SM's Trina and it took me a minute to warm up to TA. I don't think TA is miscast, but I do get the sense sometimes the material bores her. Which, same lol. While Joss is off on her spy adventures, Trina is talking to Kai about her parents marriage for the 1000th time. I know times have changed and the budget is tight, but the show islands these young characters in a way they didn't in the 90's or 2000's. Trina gets stuck with the same characters talking about the same thing when she could talk to Emma or Gio about her problems.

That's cuz coughPlotdevice*cough* And not a good one either. Then again we have Sydney Bristow Joss over here in a spy story that while I've come around, I would still say should be Emma's.

But seriously, I agree with you. It never even occurred to me that TA might be getting bored until they started to use her like how they are now because she has come alive. They really should be doing better with her.

I mean...it is a great infatuation. And that bubble and those arms sell itself. RG even gave good brooding on Y&R so I understand.

I think the lack of romance on this show is partly tied to budget limitations. They just don't have the money to cast real actors who have chemistry. So we get Laura paired with a recurring actor who is hardly available, Michael paired with a dayplayer, Kristina paired with no one, Tracy paired with no one, Alexis paired with no one, etc. If Steve or Maurice ever quit, maybe then they'd have the money to invest in romance.

I don't blame Jon Lindstrom; General Hospital was barely using him in the first place so he went to a job where he could not only act but also make money doing what he enjoys doing. I would do the same thing.

I think they just don't care. It takes time and effort to write romances and those at the show now don't seem comfortable with the concept.

To be clear, I don't think TA is tanking scenes or not doing her job. It just seems like her material doesn't inspire her much these days which I don't blame her for.

I don't think Steve or Maurice are the romance or money problem. They don't even have real love interests. It's the 100 recurring players taking up space. You honestly don't need a big budget to hire actors that have chemistry. I am sure GH can afford an actress that didn't get her SAG card yesterday for Michael.
