I think the day to day writing is superior now vs. February, actually. Though it's still got plenty of room for improvement.

I dont know. The characters just be saying stupid stuff that dont make sense. Nicole is the one of the better example of a character that took a major hit. She used to be my fave and now I dont get her most of the time

Dr. Nicole has always said weird shít lol. That's just one more thing that's always needed a tune-up since the beginning. I don't think Hayley is any more or less outrageous than Leslie, the only difference is Hayley's plans are totally lethal and have a built-in shelf life.

I know there's been some changes behind the scenes and its noticeable. The writing was better at the start of the show. Most of the characters are written like idiots and there is no subtely. Too many cartoons

Can't disagree with facts. I still love the show and I've embraced it for what it is... but I also think that the more they trash these characters (mostly the villains) with over the top cartoon stuff, the harder it's going to be to get them back to a survivable place. Meaning - to keep them longer. That's why I said I want Hayley turned into a human being again after the culmination of the poisoning. Tone her down. Give her a new plan and a new agenda. More opportunist than a homicidal Cruella. I would prefer if the "evilness" and cunning could be more subtle... that way it will be way more sinister than the... - in your face... stuff. I mean... the way Hayley is constantly putting that poison in drinks... while talking to herself... as much as I love and adore her... there's just a limit and then it becomes stupid. Nothing to do with Marquita who is a sublime and should be kept in this show for as long as possible. It would have been way scarier if we saw Bill not feeling well... and just one shot of Hayley smiling in the background... and then we see a glimpse of the vial with the poison in her bag. Just the way it's written... matters.

I'm choosing to stick to the positives... but I do see the cracks too.

Agree. She went from Little Miss Innocent to Lucrezia Borgia and now everything is shown from that angle.

I'm surprised there isn't a skull and crossbones on the jar's label.

Didn't they say, when the show was ready to premiere that they had tons of sets? Why are they all not being utilized???

27 sets was the number bandied around , which seemed a lot but on a day to day basis for the format it's not quite enough.

Although on a quick count I couldn't get to that number.

I just finished watching the Thanksgiving episode and it was amazingly good! I was initially disappointed the entire Dupree family didn't gather at Vernon and Anita's house for a big celebration, because that's what I had been expecting. But I was quickly drawn into the several separate celebrations the characters enjoyed. This episode was everything a soap opera holiday episode should be! There was togetherness, a bit of humor and romance, a small amount of intrigue, and most importantly there was lots of family, love, and gratitude. And it was not some silly stand alone episode -- dear God, I hate stand alone episodes. At the end, Vernon's toast made me cry. And every good soap opera should make the audience cry at least once a week. To whomever wrote the BTG Thanksgiving episode, thank you!! BTG is without a doubt the best soap opera on American television. Now I can't wait to see what they do for Christmas!!

@Taoboi Per your request... my nine month report card (I can't wait till the 1st anniversary report card).

Favorite Characters (who I never fast forward when they have a scene):

Anita, Nicole, Eva, Jan, Mona, and Kat.

Characters that I tolerate if in a scene with one of my favorites:

SPS, Tomas, Dani, Hayley, Derek, Ashley

Characters I fast forward if not in a scene with a favorite:

Dani, Andre, Vernon, Martin, Smitty, Ted (recast), and June

Favorite feud:

Eva vs Kat

Least Favorite Feud:

Hayley vs Dani

Character with the most potential that the writers are under utilizing:

Chelsea

Caroline

Laura

Carleton

Favorite Plotline:

Recently the Hayley conning Bill tale intrigues me, but I hate that the show has made Hayley lose IQ points with her careless mistakes.

Joey: A one note character played by a talented actor that has made his scenes enjoyable to watch. I love when he meets a new character like Dani, Nicole, SPS, Hayley, Martin, Smitty, Elon, Vanessa, etc.

Stalled Plotline:

Vanessa/Joey: Since Guza left.. it seems to have stalled.

Nicole: We hardly have seen Nicole since the whole Eva bombshell except as a talk to.

Losing Patience Plotline:

SPS: Let's see karma knock her down a notch or two.

Not in 2025... Large family gatherings are not a thing and I think it's a healthier thing for the Dupree's since they seem a tad too attached at the hip.

And I never liked the patriarch giving a speech during the holidays.. it was always kind of cheesy when P & G soaps did that.
