It was worth the wait, too. I had been wondering how Bill would eventually react since Andre and Dani started. And they never said it said it before today. So Andre already trying to mark that territory and that look Bill gave him. It was ON. I can't wait to see what their dynamic will be given how Dani is with Ashley.

Dani ain't wrong, either which makes it funny when she does it.

to be fair, Bill has a right to call her out on dating a man thats the same age as Hayey given allt he child bride shade she has slung since the premiere

Yeah, the age thing is a big problem with Samantha. In addition to your point, isn't Samantha supposed to be 16? Because that young guy looks a lot older than 16. The ages on this show are a mess.

-- Kat's reads on this episode were great and spot on. She handled Samantha correctly and I have no problem with her going after Eva. Is she mean? Yes, but let's not pretend Eva has anything but ulterior motives. She DOES want Tomas and she DOES enable her criminal mother.

-- I think Kat would've come off better if she didn't have on that ridiculous outfit today. That hat was too much.

-- Tomas is a frickin moron. I want Kat to dump his ass.

-- Dani looked great today.

-- Bill having a talk with Chelsea and Naomi in Naomi's bedroom was ridiculous.

-- Why was Andre at the hospital at all? Conveniently running into Ashley there  is LOL writing.

-- The Ashley/Derek story is a disaster. If this is MVJ loving Jen Jacob, I don't want to see the story for an actor she doesn't love.

-- I'm glad to see Jan, but Ashley having that nonsensical conversation with her mother is filler garbage. She talks about all these hopes and dreams and fire and energy with Andre. What the actual fcuk? They went on one date and he did a Dollar Store decoration of his apartment to pretend it was Paris.  THAT'S her exciting future with him?

-- Ashley goes back and forth between Derek and Andre like she's choosing ice cream flavors. The problem is I have no idea what she wants and expects from either of them or from a relationship in general.

-- That bedroom scene with Ted and Leslie better be a bad dream. I do not want them together. I do not want Ted to be written as that stupid.

Amen. Speak on it. So Tomas can STFU.

I mean...is this a safe space cuz...DAY-UM. lol. She's been looking fine AF.

And I liked that Jan called her out on that very thing. It's nonsense.

Like I said elsewhere...that better be his 'I was drugged' face. I don't want to be right about how I feel about that.

Back to the set situation.

The Hamilton living room still wins hands down as the ugliest set.

And why did Jacob and Naomi get a bedroom? That space could have been used as small living room set with a door or archway etc to suggest a larger space.

OH.

MY.

GOD.

THAT explains it. She's one of TPTB's pet.

These things NEVER go well. As we are experiencing in real time.

The wild thing is that over time Derek has become less annoying and most are not as critical of the actor. Yet Ashley/Jen continue to be the worst things about the show.

If they are so committed to making the character work, they need to write her better. It's not all Jacob's fault.

The best weeks of the show so far have been premiere week with Dani’s descent into madness over Bill and Hayley’s wedding, Ted and Nicole’s anniversary getting crashed by Leslie, Martin’s secret reveal and now Chelsea’s kidnapping. When they center the drama around a Dupree and get the whole canvas involved the show just seems to hit the right stride.

I especially liked the way they folded Joey’s escort service into Allison’s manipulation of Chelsea and got the whole family involved. Using it to bring Bill back into the Dupree fold in a peaceful way was a great choice as well. Timon KD is the best male casting on the show by far and he’s done really good work with this material of trying to get back into the good graces of his children and the Dupree’s. He and Karla Mosley’s chemistry has been fantastically naturaI slick need Dani and Bill reunited.

One major problem I’m having atm is they need to rework the couples on this show, very few have rooting value at this point.

Derek and Ashley still have 0 chemistry or on screen charisma after what, 8/9 months of episodes? Even worse they’ve already started repeating storylines for them, and she keeps being indecisive over him and Andre. Call a chop a chop and send them on their merry way please, my goodness.

And why should I care for Andre and Dani when he keeps fawning over basic ass Ashley? Its clear someone upstairs is very invested in Andre’s actor but I think his casting is just as bad as Ashley and Derek’s tbh and Karla Mosley ends up doing a lot of leg work for their scenes. Him trying to get buck with Bill was laughable.

Am I supposed to still be intrigued by Kat and Tomas when you’ve told us they have no sexual chemistry and Tomas keeps letting Eva trash Kat and manipulate him just to get at her? This little switch to villain mode for Eva has made me like her a lot less as well.

How can I still be invested in Ted and Nicole between the recasting which zapped away the chemistry (Keith is my guy but I have to be honest this recast is a flop for me), him showing a severe lack of effort in making things right with her until recently by doing the absolute bare minimum when it is clearly too damn late, and the rest of the Dupree clan are openly mocking his attempts?

Martin thinking one little hunch session would erase all the lying he’s done to Smitty was hilarious. They need to play up Martin’s entitlement and audacity a bit more.

With the Joey/Vanessa/Doug triangle I only truly like her and am rooting for Joey to kill Doug, Randy to pop Joey or send him to jail and Vanessa to take over all of Joey’s businesses somehow and become the town mob queen.

Jacob and Naomi are boring and chemistry less (I’m enjoying the break from nutty ass June and hope they get the ball rolling on pairing Jacob and Kat instead)

Madison and Chelsea are cool but the writers rushed them to soulmate status so fast its hard to even take them seriously (I’ve seen lesbian relationships move at this speed but they still could have slowed things down a bit to develop Madison more because that actress is a find IMO)

I guess we have Anita and Vernon but they don’t have an actual story of their own at this point so…

I’m in agreement now with people who feel Hayley is underdeveloped and the actress isn’t helping. She comes across too air headed, and I don’t understand Naomi not exposing her for the convenient miscarriage. This plot with Tomas and Caroline to make Bill jealous is just…dumb.

I did get a good chuckle out of Caroline openly telling her she already survived one ex wife and brag that she’s seen Bill behave at his worst. They need to develop this character more because the actress is decent and I’d much rather watch her than the wonder-bread service workers.

I’m used to teenagers being played by 30 year olds so that aspect doesn’t bother me but Kat disciplining Samantha looked absolutely ridiculous lol. I know they wanted to avoid child labor laws but I wish the young lady who plays Tyrell’s love interest would have been cast as Samantha instead.

Glad someone else noticed those damn chairs.
I understand decorating with symmetry but this is nonsensical:

Mind you: they have similar random chairs at Orphey's too.

You're forgetting the mean girl attitude she displayed with Naomi against Hayley.

I kinda want that sweater! hahah
@janea4old any idea where to find it?

We actually don't need any further space being wasted on Naomi.
If anything, they should build a courtroom set and get a legal writing consultant.

Because in the first episode the writers wanted to show how hot the show was and the only couple standing was Naomi and Jacob. Who debuted in bed together.

I agree. It's a good size but from a design standpoint is very bland.

What they should've done is establish that Andre, Ashley and Naomi/Jacob lived in the same building. Build one set and re-dress it to work as all three apartments. That way everybody could have a bedroom and living room set. We rarely see these sets at the same time so it would've been very doable.

date: Tuesday, November 18, 2025 | Jamey Giddens, Danielle Paige | Steven Williford Samantha, accept the fact you were in the wrong and do not deserve your digital devices. Do not like it? Go upstairs. Read a book. Do some knitting. Bradley and Martin's "we get it" to Tyrell was hilarious and absolutely a parent's thing to do. Loving a bit of history of both the Duprees (via Eva) and the Hawthrones (via Izaiah). So cute. Poor June. I am sure she did not purposefully mean to mess up; we have all been there working in customer service. Shake it off and keep on keeping on! Not twice a week for Vernon's cobbler order... Sharon must be using that as payment for their meetings. I appreciate that Ted still cares about the Duprees despite the end of his marriage to Nicole. Not Dana using Peaches' crisis as a way of taking Ted's attention away from a co-worker. Girl, do not be so obvious. Bradley is a man after my own heart with a simply divine chocolate milkshake. That is the way to go. Dana really needs to dial it back. Money will not buy her everything she wants and she will realise it soon enough. And I doubt Shanice is scared off by her idle threats, either. "With all due respect, Ms Thomas, this isn't a shopping mall." Oh, Dr Wilkes just owned Dana's arrogant ass. I love it. Wigs and personas? Okay now, Shanice ate with that read. I like that June assured Bradley that she will not replace him or Martin in the twins' lives. And that blood does not make a parent. Words never rang more true. Jessica reading Samantha was amazing. Dana would want to involve Ted. Her obsession is crossing beyond dangerous boundaries. Not Dana catching Vernon leaving Sharon's room at the country club. That is not good. Not good at all! Notes: Ugh. Not another breakdown from writer2. This week was going so well. Thankfully, Paige is an outstanding scriptwriter (one of this soap's best), and her words today are excellent. The food at Orphey Gene's does look bomb, so I do not blame any of the characters for uptalking it. I would eat there daily if I could. And gain hundreds of pounds, too. David Lami Friebe (Izaiah) continues to make me sick watching him, but he is nice to listen to. I still really like having June as the central person hub at Orphey Gene's. That familiar face you see when you walk in and have scenes. Dana wanting a second opinion means we could have an incoming doctor, right...?

    • I am sure "no one cares" and it's not a big deal to some people, but this thread is full of certain posters calling out women's ages, their viability to have children at like 35, and their nail polish, but we celebrate everything Chandler Massey does and applaud any male shirtless scenes.  And then posters walk back being like it's just a joke and weren't serious lol.
    • I'm so glad she's still on the show. Seems like she may have dropped a hint about the real source of conflict between her and Dee, too.
    • I don't know how reliable the information is, but from what I've read, he joined GH in 1977, and Alan (who started airing in September 1977) was one of his creations. That should have been enough time to get the show in better shape by the January 1978 episode we saw, but then again, shifting from a 30 minute to a 60 minute format is a big transition, one that requires a lot of filler scenes like Monica having a long flashback to a scene that must have only played out a few weeks earlier.
    • I agree. She said, "I do," and then decided, "I don't." I wish Nikki Abbott had been a longer duration. I wholly prefer Nikki with Jack than I ever have with Victor, and today's episode proved that. And I never minded Ashley with Victor.
    • That one really bothered me. The chemistry was still very much there and then she married Jack and immediately ran off to find Victor. It was such a slap in the face to anyone that was a fan of the pairing.
