What I mean is that I heard about the reruns and that they were being discussed in this topic. Since that news was so surprising I wanted to read the discussion, which caused me to open this thread with current show discussions which was a spoiler for me because I'm not caught up. Ideally that sort of general information wouldnt be in the current show discussion thread. I get that you didn't have enough information to make a formal post, it's just unfortunate, sorry about how I worded it.

I understand. However, the thread itself is a discussion of Beyond the Gates episodes, so the concept of reruns could/should be able to be discussed in the ongoing thread. That said, yes, the topic could/should also have its own thread. I'll see if there is a way to do that.

Selfishly, I'm on vacation next week and wouldn't have been able to watch BTG anyway, so I'm not mad :)  But otherwise, I'd be annoyed too.

No new episodes all next week. BTG returns on July 7 with new episodes.

why? Whats happening?

Well, for me, it's a streak of very good luck. I am behind. I have been behind since I was inpatient hospital end of May. That's 3 soaps I'm behind on. Maybe a chance to catch up on this one.

Maybe they are moving production to CA since the state just increased their tax incentives??? 🤷🏾‍♂️🤷🏾‍♂️🤷🏾‍♂️

I don't think they'd do that; they very specifically chose Georgia, and considering [some] cast just moved their entire families to Georgia, I doubt they'd turn around and go, "Nah. Let's go back!"

I totally agree with you, up to a point. Yes, it may have been a reach to think of a production move, but nothing would be surprising nowadays. ABC did with All My Children and if CBS thought it could save money, I think they would jump at the chance.

I feel like they had a very specific reason for going to Georgia; I don't see them changing at this point. Especially since they looked for Georgia-based talent.

I think these reruns are a bad decision.  It runs the risk of breaking the momentum of the show's every-day viewers.  Maybe one rerun (of a stellar episode) on July 4th.  But not an entire week!!  Geech!!  There is a reason soap operas are called continuing stories.

Considering its off next week, I wish they hadn't done such a detailed Next On preview. The next week looks AMAZING and I feel it's going to lose momentum being off a week.

This reminds me of when networks used to move shows around their schedule to the point people just lost interest etc. I know they're probably not trying to kill the show but it's still not a good look
