-- I enjoyed all the flashbacks today, but boy, are they reminders of the budget this show used to have. I hope we're about done with these reminders.

-- Total smokeshow: Peter Reckell was SO hot back in the day. I mean, DAYUM.

-- Missy Reeves got some bad styling this time around. That suit is awful and whoever did her hair extensions hates her.

-- I had to laugh that Jennifer went to bed when it was still daylight.

-- The Jack Visits Abigail's Grave scene didn't work for me. I am done with scenes of actors looking up to the sky -- because we all know that's where Heaven is -- and talking about loved ones like they're doing the same ish they did on Earth. No, Abigail is not up there welcoming John.

I do realize that many viewers -- probably most -- feel this way and enjoy it. It just bothers me.

-- A 48-minute episode today was overkill. The show made a good decision the past few days when they gave us much shorter episodes (31-35 minutes) as a counter-balance to the heavy story.

-- But that last scene with the John and Marlena flashback and her alone? Perfect.

I've watched up to Part Three and have thought the episodes are strongly written and the performances have been excellent.

I loved that Kate got a little moment at the end, saying that John had been one of few true friends. That was true.

Loved Bo saying "And that's a fact" - there were so many different reactions from the actors, it really touched them.

Now for something petty...

When Kristian Alfonso quit DAYS she gave a long interview to SOD and she mentioned all the actors by name and the only person she did not name was Deidre Hall. So it amused me when Hope hugged Marlena at the funeral and Deidre kept those arms of hers straight down, not embracing Hope for even a second. Whatever went down between Deidre and Suzanne Rogers must be epic, given Deidre so rarely even shares a scene with her, let alone dialog.

I saw some fans tweeting about that Hope and Marlena scene, suggesting it was in character because of Princess Gina. Maybe, but it did seem real.

I'm just sorry everything with Deidre and Suzanne meant Maggie couldn't be at the funeral supporting Marlena as they had such a lovely friendship years ago.

What I'm about to say may be very unpopular, but while I do feel for Deidre Hall as far as her grief for Drake Hogestyn (shared by much of the cast!), well...while I get not everyone will be buddy-buddy behind the scenes, isn't she paid to act as MARLENA and not Deidre?

That's what acting is about: Playing someone that likes other characters on screen, even if that's not the case off screen.

I don't know: The whole thing with Kristian/Hope was strange and stood out big time. It just seems unprofessional. Ditto Marlena/Maggie. Maybe both actresses now despise each other, but MARLENA AND MAGGIE were friends. Earn the pay check and act friendly, ladies!

(Still, nothing tops prime time's The Good Wife and the whole split screen debacle with Julianna Margulies and Archie Panjabi. And my philosophy is the same there: That was ridiculous, petty, and both women should have just sucked it the hell up for the audience and actually worked together.)

Yesterday’s episode was sweet and emotional - all about the vets who’ve brought us joy for decades. Poor Deidre looked absolutely drained from all the crying, and honestly? Same. I really hope we’re done with the John tributes, because I’m maxed out.

The flashbacks were lovely, but kind of odd not seeing Patsy Pease in any of them - what’s up with that? And seriously, why bring back Jack and Jen and not even give them one scene with Marlena? No condolences, nothing. Weird choice.

That said, the Hope/Jen/Julie scenes were beautiful. You can tell there’s real love there - their chemistry just works.

I assume we’ll get more surprise returns for the 60th, but it does feel like the show’s shifting to focus on the younger crowd now. Maybe it’s just time.

It’s not petty - I noticed it too. Deidre stood there kind of stiff while Kristian hugged her. Maybe there’s some tension, who knows. Deidre’s had her share of off-screen drama over the years - that thing with Suzanne, and there were old rumors about Crystal Chappell too.

Now maybe something’s off with Kristian as well? I get that not everyone on set is best friends, but it’s always a little jarring when it shows on screen.

It reminded me of that vibe back in ’94 when Doug and Julie returned after Tom Horton’s death - and Alice felt oddly distant toward Julie. Maybe it was just some old history between the actresses quietly showing through.

Anyway, these moments stick out, especially when the rest of the episode feels so heartfelt.

Idk about starting off today’s episode  with people who weren’t at John’s service, saying what a lovely service it was, but whatevs. There were a lot of good scenes today, regardless.

Kayla’s returned strength was on full display today. She pulled no punches with Xander and with EJ, and I was here for it. She was also used very well in her scenes with Stephanie. I like how Kayla opened up to her about her feelings on Steve shutting down BlackPatch, and that they’re going to have a dinner for Steve.

I enjoyed Maggie’s scenes with Sarah too. I don’t think for a second that Sarah is going to leave Salem with Victoria but she brought up a lot of interesting points about the pull that she has towards Xander, no matter what he’s like. I also enjoyed the argument that she had with Xander. I’m really interested in seeing what’s going to happen for them and everybody around them.

Belle seems to be in the same boat as Sarah, regarding her feelings for EJ. They still had chemistry in their scenes today. And I like the drama of it all, and how mature that it’s been written lately. Shawn and Belle comforting each other was really sweet as well. I still think the ship hasn’t sailed for them yet lol

All the ‘One Stormy Night’ stuff didn’t do much for me though. And the cliffhanger ending didn’t seem all that necessary either.

Btw, Jada’s still living at Stephanie’s? 😂😂😂

The pull for Sarah is Xander's body and d!ck!!😂😂😂😂😁😊☺️

I'm still stuck on Tuesday's episode. I might skip to Friday's.

Eh, the serial killer body isn't as hot as Xander's. I'm surprised Sarah even gets out of bed to go to work.😂😂😂

I have to catch up on this week's episodes, but I still can't believe DAYS has not been in Peacocks Top 10 the past two weeks; I've been checking everyday, just as I always have. It's rather shocking to me and I haven't seen any real explanation or reason as to why.

I saw it in the top 10 this week, but it's not in the top 10 for me today.  I think Peacock is just wonky lol.  I looked at @teplin's list and I have Summer House, The Real Housewives of Miami and Destination X instead.  No Yellowstone, Days or Chicago PD. 🤷‍♀️
