It's weird that I was ready for Kenneth and Martin to make out, but I know that isn't what I'm supposed to be feeling.  Only proves you can't manufacture chemistry.. and a shame the actor wasn't cast as Derek.

No, there's some underlying sexual tension in their scenes or maybe that's just me projecting.

Kenneth: "I like watching you strut around here in your (jockstrap) fancy suits."

I was totally here for Vernon vs. Bill. It was a really good showdown. And honestly was a perfect explanation as to why I’ve been Team Bill from the very beginning, rather than Team Dupree

I know what you mean. I think Clifton Davis is killing it in this role, but my mouth dropped open during that argument. Vernon NEEDS Bill, yet he's acting indignant and superior and self-righteous. I don't think the Duprees are in any position to act as if they're playing a hand with four aces.

-- If Vernon thinks so little of Bill, then he should hire someone else to be his fixer. If he needs Bill, then he should eat a little humble pie, or at least be civil.

-- These Duprees are legends and icons with a "kingdom," but they sure as hell need lawyers and fixers on speed dial all the time.

-- Good scenes with Eva and Nicole. I'm glad they chose this route instead of the old trope that Nicole has to hate Eva.

-- Cliches? Today' show was good, but damn, I think I hear enough cliches for the entire week.

-- I still despise the editing in the break to commercial. It's almost always awful.

Oh, God, yes!!! I know I'm going to rewatch before bed. It was so good. And that monologue...Jazmen did it good. Clifton and those inflections at all the right moments, turning the screws on Bill and gathering him one point at a time. I was living.

Martin needs to go Stephanie Forrester Big Bear on that racist little weasel.

Vernon's overly kind persona was a brilliant cover for his aggressive side. He practically dismantled Bill.

The set up with Dani and Bill is almost like Knots Landing in the way that Abby said "the first Mrs Ewing never goes away". The flashback was interesting because Bill treated Dani like a partner as opposed to how he treats Hayley like she is still a mistress. Hayley probably won't go Jill and try to off Dani but she's going to feel threatened by Bill and Dani's paternal bond.

I'm convinced that Leslie will end up being Kat's mother. They match each other with comebacks well and they both scheme (for good or bad). Plus the bond between Nicole and Eva is giving a lead up to them being related. Kat and Eva dueling for Nicole's attention and Leslie being left out is perfect soap.

Finally got to finish the episode.

Cady needs to quit that accent. I feel like she's auditioning for a role on Broadway for Carousel or something. It just doesn't work.

I think today was the first time I was like ok Leslie is becoming cartoonish. The way she approached Kat and Jacob was a bit much. Otherwise, she is so much fun to watch.

Bill really needed these scenes with Vernon. The character was becoming one note with all the repetitive Haley stuff. Excellent stuff from both men today.

What was Ted thinking just dropping all those responsibilities on Eva like that?

Exactly! It's always been there in subtle ways so I'm very happy to see the mask completely drop and him cutting Bill all the way down like a surgeon doing a delicate surgery to complete success.

But like I been saying, a good amount of the people on this show have light and dark moments and I love it. Layers and nuances.

-- I'm lost as I read posts saying that Vernon dismantled Bill today. Honestly, I don't know where that's coming from. Both men got their shots in, but neither one dismantled the other. And, as I said before, I was on Bill's side at the end of that argument because I don't think it made sense for Vernon to be so hard on someone he needed to AGAIN be his fixer.

-- Cady McClain isn't working for me. It all reeks of trying too hard, from the accent to the hair to the wardrobe.

I don't hate Pamela, per se, but I hate CM accent. She can do so much better with this character but I will give her more time.

I loved Vernon & Bill going toe to toe in today's episode. They were both formidable IMO.

Nicole showing Eva such grace makes me love her character even more. Also, I'm sold on nuTed.

It was fun seeing crazy Leslie today and I LOL at Bill throwing Tomas out of his office. Overall, another great episode.

I loved those Vernon and Bill scenes! They are amongst the finest this series has ever produced. They truly went toe to toe and it kept me on my toes. I kept expecting Vernon to have to back down and I love how he didn't in the end. I get both of their argument but I feel like Vernon's deep love for Dani is what made him stand his ground. I loved seeing a darker side to him.

Same here.

Overall, I don't have a problem with it, but the moral superiority kind of makes me laugh sometimes.

I think I saw it more as you did. Each one was trying to get the upper hand, but both are two intertwined in each other's mess to really win. Vernon needs Bill to clean up the messes and Bill has too much dirt on his hand to pull away and feign innocence. It would be in Bill's best interest to keep these secrets buried.
