June 13 U.S. (June 12 Canada) casting info
and a party set in the French Riviera

The character Cane Ashby seems to be back, per screengrab of the costumer IG story which inadvertently showed "Cane" on a clothes hanger.
In May 30 U.S. episode, Lily started telling Damian about Cane.
Cane would obviously be a recast since Daniel Goddard is currently on GH.

The theory/rumor/speculation is that Aristotle Dumas is a pseudonym for Cane.
(Another theory is that Cane is part of Dumas storyline but isn't Dumas himself).

-----------

In the May 30 episode, Dumas sent invitations to members of the Abbott, Chancellor, Winters, Newman clans, etc, to come to his summer home in Nice, France.
The invitation said something about going to Nice
and departing from there on Friday June 13 for an extended stay.

In a May 20 interview, Mishael Morgan said that the reveal is at the gathering and that Y&R built a new set for this and it's fun and very beautiful.

For details on the casting and the party:

I don’t get what is so difficult for Nick and Sharon to define about their relationship. The obvious thing to do is to put them back together. There’s no obstacles for them anymore, they’re both seemingly on an island and yet JG refuses to reunite them. It’s time to put them back together and have them stay together. Bring back Faith, Noah and let them be the supporting characters for their children.

The fact that the only third generation Newman on the canvas is Claire is pretty crazy. Where are all the other Newman kids? I’m pretty sure Victoria has more children too.

pretty sure it's because both actors see Nick+Sharon as the "end" mark for their characters (they have both expressed in interviews that they see the other as "meant to be" etc. but they don't think it's time for them to get together again, yet), and they don't want it to be the end yet, because they're young and flirty, etc. You know, the usual Y&R show runners/writers letting their fave actors dictate story. lol

I didn’t realize they had a say in storyline direction or that SC & JM were the reasons Nick and Sharon aren’t together, but anyhow. They definitely are not “young and flirty” anymore at 50+ years old. They both look fabulous, don’t get me wrong.. but it seems silly to continue writing for them as if they’re 30 years old still.

I guess I can understand why a Nick Newman type would still be interested in dating young, but even still. Bring Faith back into the fold and maybe have Nick have an affair with one of Faiths friends (I know, scandalous) but at least it would give the writers a reason to develop the character of Faith more.

    • The counts seem small even for B&B. Thanks for posting!
    • Sooo Nick is inviting Sharon to France for this Dumas party thing. The same place they reconnected years ago during the Shick/Phick years. I wonder if it’s going to be on location? I’m going to assume not. I’m sure Y&R doesn’t have that kind of budget anymore.
    • Agree. The catfights at the clothing store alone...lol.   That's how I feel about Teresa as well. Cheryl I feel seems to blend much better with Sara's breakdowns, but I definitely love her dialogue no matter who she is with.  They also forget replies about missing plot points and theories about why they might be missing so...   YASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS   Oh how that scene lives rent free in my head and when it pops up online I will always watch.
    • Episode #62 Thurs May 29 US, Dani arrived at the bar at closing time and used her Dupree name to request that the bartender serve her even though it was past closing time.  Then Doug walked in and Dani convinced the bartender to serve him too.  They were both drowning their sorrows, and the scene switched to Vanessa/Joey having sex on the card table. Then no followup.  Did Dani and Doug talk? Or... ? Where did Doug go? When the next episode started, it was the next day and Dani was meeting with Pamela, and Pamela arranged for some hot guy to date Dani, but Dani wasn't interested.
    • So I'm seeing cuz the catch-up has been brutal. All I can do (besides look at fashion) is smh.
    • Wow. What an episode. Deidre truly broke my heart today. Not much else to say. Just an incredible love story ending.    I’m amazed they couldn’t or didn’t try go get either Claire actress while both of her grandfathers are on death’s door. Hope sensing John had passed was a nice heartbreaking touch. The rest of the week is going to be so hard.
    • -- The fashions are at least something to talk about, because we're definitely not getting any story. I mean, this stuff is dreadful. -- I do like how they're dressing Nikki. Its hugely different from before, but I'll take it. -- At least she doesn't look like Ashley, who's dressed like a clinically-depressed Cruella DeVille. -- Nick without a jacket just looks odd. -- I see Mark Grossman again gained about 15 lbs. when he was away on vacation. The sharp cheekbones are gone and the double chin is back. Hate to be mean, but I hope he loses the weight. -- All that talk about all Claire did to plan that "party." Excuse me? There's nothing go on, and outside of some tacky Happy Birthday signage and tablecloths from Kohls, I don't know what they're talking about.
