Frank thinks by casting former "Young and Restless" actors, the "Young and Restless" viewers will flock to "General Hospital".

Well, it could be much worse. Frank could have hired a hot blonde model for the role.😂

Well that is only IF Frank was thinking at all if rumors be true.

This was a chance to really shake up the casting instead of more of a revolving door. Frank seems to be trying to find as many former Y&R actors as he can at present. Maybe just let Mark Teschner do his job.

It gives me 2010/2011 flashbacks when it was a ABC/CBS flip-flop with AMC cast-offs going to Y&R🤣

We see how well that worked.

Dull Rory Gibson replacing dull Chad Duell.  okay, well at least they're consistent.

His scenes on Y&R literally put me to sleep.

GH picked the wrong Noah Newman.

He literally walked around like he was on sleeping pills every every scene he was in. This is terrible casting.

The idea that RG Noah was involved with Audra was ridiculous.

They probably went with someone who knows what's involved with working on a soap.

I'm not sure there are many young actors these days who want to commit to a soap. I don't think the money is great.

Devils advocate

YR gave him nothing to do as Noah

At least GH sees Michael as a lead role

It's not like the checked out Duell left great shoes to fill. I think Gibson didn't bring a lot of energy to Noah, but 1/2 of that I blame on JG's inability to write for young characters. Hopefully he can hold his own with the vets he'll be working toe to toe with.

I would have cast outside of the other soaps.

Nothing to do doesn’t mean you have to do your best Kelly Monaco impression.

Robert Adamson is right there, and the audience was receptive to his version of Michael, but whatever. I believe Michael was a character who needed a LONG break anyway. But congrats to Rory. I don't see him sticking around forever though as he seems to book a lot of projects outside of daytime lately.

Part of me honestly wonders if Rory was chosen because he had the best audition or because Robert Adamson complained about not being given a shot at the permanent role, so they took on a different Noah, lol.

Adamson would have been the ideal Michael; he's who I've wanted for years (despite liking Chad Duell), but it does not seem like TPTB want to stick with pinch-hit actors in permanent hirings.

Michael being the surprise guest at the ball is such a drama queen move.

Debuting your new face, in a tuxedo, at a televised ball, is giving Dynasty energy.

Well, you won't be alone as a devil.

I felt the same about his Noah. Cuz the potential was there with his past with Audra, his relationship with Allie, etc. He was just never used.

I am sure...if the writing is there...he will be fine on GH

That is the story apparently making the rounds. Not helped by Robert deleting that post. And we know Frank CAN be oh so petty so...

This guy replacing Robert Adamson a second time does feel a bit cruel. Especially knowing they didn't even allow Adamson to audition for the recast.
