The Wednesday, May 21 episode of “The Young and the Restless” will feel a lot like a Valentine’s Day celebration when the daytime drama series devotes an hour to love, centered on three of the show’s most prevailing couples.

According to Swooon, a sister publication of TV Insider (TV Guide Magazine), the episode will focus on the pairings of Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), Michael Baldwin (Christian J. LeBlanc) and Lauren Fenmore (Tracey E. Bregman), Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters).

A description of the episode sees Victor and Nikki noting their historic love story as they provide input to their family on how to make their love lives as successful and long-lasting. Meanwhile, Michael makes it clear that their relationship is the most important thing in their lives, and Jack presents Diane with a special gift to thank her for her recent renovation work on the Abbott mansion.

Note: An earlier version of this article indicated the airdate as Thursday, May 21. The correct date is Wednesday, May 21.

It's daytime. There should be love (and romance) every day of the week. The fact that they are hyping up one day of "love" is hilarious!!

I just want to shake my head. Clearly this show doesn't remember what it is supposed to be. Maybe someone should be forced to watch early era Bill Bell episodes to be reminded.

These standalone episodes have become a continuing joke, and this one sounds worse than usual. We're getting an entire episode of 3 couples doing what they've done over and over and over.

Victor & Nikki and Jack & Diane will be in their "new homes" so we can AGAIN be reminded of the new sets. Michael & Lauren will be in a restaurant, of course, because they don't even have a home any longer.

This show is an embarrassment, and could not suck more.

They might surprise us and book a suite at the GCAC 😄
