Seeing Guza and Julie Hanan names on my TV screen just takes me back to high school. Sweet memories.

I didn't get to finish the episode last night. It's been a week and I was not able to keep my eyes open.

I know the feeling.

I am finally jumping on the bandwagon about Leslie not being Eva's mother.

that was fast! And I love that he's still next to Leslie, Kat and Eva

YES!  Glad it worked out - now Leslie is with Eva and Kat with her Dad. And they didn't have to rearrange the other opening at all.

That was weird how the fans were saying Kat should be a detective, and it shows up in the script the very next day.

It's giving Ashley as "type A" personality, while Derek is giving "type B" personality, and they're clashing.

I actually view Ashley as deeply repressed and not in touch with what she's truly feeling, needing, and wanting.  She's more OCD/repressed than 'Type A'..imho.

Sometimes, I'm not sure we're supposed to like the Duprees. They pontificate at the drop of a hat. And even when they have the right, they gotta just put that last little nail in. I guess they were justified in reading Eva, but the "and you're never going to be a Dupree..." like...do they really think that was the goal in all that?

I love Bradley and Bill together.

New Ted was very soulful in his scenes with Leslie.

Cady McClain and Jon Lindstrom had a scene together!!  They're either friendly (which is great) or they're just professionals (which is great).  :)

I am not sure either, but I'm riding with the outsiders regardless. There was an opportunity to use Anita to ground the family and make you root for them.

I wonder do they still have chemistry, I thought they did at ATWT.

Boy, do I agree with this. These writers HAVE to know what they're doing when they add those "We're the Duprees" lines....at least I pray to God they do. If they don't, they're clueless.

This family is -- like most families -- deeply flawed and going through it. There's something tone deaf about the "We're the Duprees" pronouncements all over the place.

  • Anita and Vernon versus Bill – I love it.
  • Is Vanessa a dominatrix? That's kind of kinky, and Cody seems to love it, too!
  • I love seeing Dana and Ted's dynamic right now; you can sense some kind of passion, and it's differing on both sides.
  • I appreciate us building a connection between Bradley and Nicole.
  • So, we've got the names of the Articulettes: Anita, Sharon and Tracy. A one-night-only kind of performance. Hoping they can pull this off.
  • Dani and Pamela are a hoot together; I love their banter, and I'm so happy to see this friendship continuing to develop on screen.
  • The anvil of Jacob and Naomi liking June being around; that's got to lead to something, no?
  • Douglas, stop playing powerball with Joey.
  • So Nicole wants to sell the house? Girl is jumping over divorce and right to the settling of the assets; thankfully, Vanessa has the keen sense to deny the offer to list the property.

Notes:

  • I like seeing different connections being built between characters right now: Bill and Bradley, Dani and Pamela, and Nicole and Vanessa. It's nice seeing things settling.
  • I loved the scene of Pamela cooing over Joey's Instagram, given Cady McClain and Jon Lindstrom's real-life relationship history.

Bill and Smitty was the best part of today. I like the parallel that was drawn between them as "Dupree outsiders." It's similar to Bill's friendship with Ted and I enjoy both of the relationships that Bill has with them. I seriously wonder if anybody behind the scenes thought that the character of Bill was going to be as well liked as he is.

Btw, I see that they're not covering up Mike Manning's tat 😂😂

Pamela talking like Bernadette Peters isn't really working for me though lol neither is Naomi and Jacob's part in June's storyline.

But I am interested in what's going to happen once Jacob gets Leslie to the police station.

I just hope they don't move that lady in their apartment.

Same. And Mike seemed to enjoy those scenes.
