Ewwwwww HELL TO THE NO!!!

Same.

Frank stay bring everyone and their mama over rather than working with the talent he has.

THIS.

Also same. The best thing he did was to slight Beth.

Loved that karma. Well deserved.

Very. Even time Cane had potential good story to keep him relevant, DG would tank his own stories.

I was never a huge supporter, but during the periods of time I tried to sit through Y&R in those years (mainly the late '00s), I didn't think he was that bad. However, the alleged pushback he and/or his fans had to Cane being paired with Beth Maitland left a very bad taste in my mouth. He was very lucky to still have a job at that time and should have been happy with what he was given. I've been a fan of Beth's from the first time I began watching Y&R and the whole idea that he was somehow meant to be above her just because of the usual overinvested banner-flying antics turned my stomach.

Yeah. Still wasn't very detailed though 😂

What were the BTS antics?

Putting aside the Beth Maitland thing (which was enough), there was the whole banner-flying stunt when he got rightly fired by Maria Arena Bell a number of years prior and managed to weep and plead and get his job back, tanking more of the story for several characters. I think he may also have organized against his one other interesting storyline (his affair during SSM's tenure).

DG was not the first actor to rile up his fans for the sake of job security, nor will he be the last.  But I can't stand ANY actor who won't STFU and say their g*ddamn lines.

There are things to make a fuss over BTS. His troubles were not it.

Frank’s flexing again. 🤦🏾‍♂️ No reason for this guy to have had a role created for him on an already over bloated canvas.

It's pathetic. He really does want to collect Beanie Babies of soap alum just because he can, and generally it's alum I never needed to see again. And even those I am happy to see again are stuck in worthless parts most of the time. The biggest "success" on that front of late is probably Van Hansis, and he could be dumped at any time.

ICAM!!  So, you don't want to play opposite a fat, old lady on a soap opera?  Well, like the song says, it's better than digging a ditch.  So, again, just say your lines and STFU!

Dan McVicar in his prime was much more handsome than Goddard and he played the hell out of his complex relationship with Darlene Conley.

Wasn't there some planted stories about him being seen jogging in his neighborhood crying after he was fired? It was something ridiculous and OTT.

And lemme tell ya: pretending to be in love with someone like Darlene Conley could not have been easy!  (I'm sorry, but it's the truth).

Lord, I remember the stories about Daniel McVicar constantly leaking to the mags.

I still suspect the role is short-term here but who knows.
