I agree with you, and as you know, I've complained about the scene endings and fadeouts before.

I don't think new/different is always better, and I do think there's no need to fix something that isn't broken. We don't need the hyped melodramatic music to end scenes, but we also don't need a fade that looks like the camera person lost interest.

It's not just American soaps that have "standard" scene ends. So does every primetime drama.

I think things have improved here after a really rocky first few weeks, but they have a way to go.

Wonderful Bill and Naomi scenes.

The Martin/Smitty/Tyrell/Samantha scenes really picked up and got intense mid episode. Didn’t expect Tyrell to go into the kids at school calling him a woke charity case for being adopted by a congressman. The actors that play Tyrell and Martin were stronger than usual in those scenes.

The actor playing Tyrell is rapidly getting better every episode. That was a very strong scene. His remarks also implied that the kids were old enough when they were adopted to remember life before Martin and Smitty.

Martin sent his kids to public school so they could feel normal and not set apart? That doesnt even make sense. For that reason, why not send them to private school where they would be around other privleged kids like them? They stand out in the public school system bc of who they are

  • I truly hope Naomi is not stepping back from the lawsuit; Becky, Carrie, and Stefania need her to succeed in winning their case.
  • Dani is a drunk-ass mess. At this point, whatever kind of alcohol she's drinking should be a credited principal guest star (and jsyk: I don't really care what kind/brand she's drinking. I just don't drink, so I don't pretend to know).
  • I love how much Bradley loves both Samantha and Tyrell, but then deadbeat has to come in and ruin it. Ugh. Can we just off Martin at this point? He does not deserve this family. At all.
  • Looks like Vanessa's attention is veering from Diego to Joey at this point. No more closet makeout sessions, I would assume.
  • Damn, Naomi just owned Bill in their mini-showdown, and I think Bill ultimately does want to go against her in the courtroom. That's insane.
  • Douglas, you're [finally] at work, and you've got Joey's henchman coming to your workplace? No bueno.
  • I know I said yesterday if Dani wasn't an alcoholic, this was her on her way to being one... I've now changed my mind: she IS a drunk. A fall-down, messy drunk, dependant on her drink to get her through her day.
  • Andre should not be playing babysitter to the drunk, either. At least with Ashley he'd have an actual conversation and relationship.
  • Naomi, girl, stop reminiscing... focus on beating Bill Hamilton in the courtroom. Do it.
  • Ugh... here comes scuzzball Mike. Degenerate, gross dude. Bill, fire his ass.
  • I'm beginning to wonder if Jacob and Naomi have another set in their home or if it's just the bedroom set. Hoping it may be more!
  • Good going, Bill. Fire that scuzzball; it was overdue.
  • Dani, Andre is not into you. Give it up, sweetheart.

There's another mini-promo for BTG airing at the end of B&B and BTG. started airing Monday April 14.  It's similar to but not the same as the "next week" promo that aired at end of Friday April 11.

(They did this last week, too- new promo airing at end of Monday that's similar to but different from the promo airing at end of prior Friday)

    • They are mentioning Aristotle Dumas in nearly every scene now.  Good Lord.  The poor actors must roll their eyes every time they get a new script.
    • BC played Jeffrey O'Neill, her last husband- the ninth.   Yes, April Fools Day 2009 is a date that will live in infamy for GL fans but I feel we all kinda expected it at that point.  The soap press reported that GA's return as Phillip was basically the show's final chance at getting the ratings up.  A Hail Mary if you will.  It didn't extend the show's life but it was fantastic to see Phillip back in SF where he belonged.
    • I think Alexa Havins has been polarizing. A large segment of fans love her and what she's done with the role, while others say she's a good actor but they hate the way Lulu is written -- as someone who interferes and is a harpy. I personally think she's been a terrific recast.
    • The perfect camp. And maybe it's regional? I don't recall seeing a "sponsored in part by..." tag during today's end credits, either, which is usually when I see the commercials.
    • Totally agree on TMG - perfect daytime camp. I always get Febreeze commercials, and did today. I wonder why you're not, that's odd.
    • Dipping my toes back in, and Leslie continues to be THE star. Girl has brought the same energy since day one. Anita has become tons more interesting when played with her former groupmates. Kat is such a massive disappointment. I can’t stand her.
    • this was a great episode. Leslie with Jacob was lol as were the scenes with Jacob/Kat.  I like that Eva is vulnerable at times. Makes it easier to like her. The writers need to do this with Dani more. (and Leslie). The Anita scenes were also well done.  Big credit to the writers today!

date: Thursday, June 5 | Christopher Dunn, Judy Tate | Michael V. Pomarico I love the way Vernon just observes Anita and knows exactly what's on her mind and yet still allows her to explain her way out of it all. He knows his wife. LAURA IS BACK AT WORK! I am very, very happy for you, and I love that Katherine, Mona, and Nicole are there to warmly welcome her back. It's been months! Uh-oh, Ms Dana, here comes the PD to raid your ass; I just wish Eva hadn't moved the helmet and gloves, because she could be caught NOW! Sharon continues to show how absolutely ugly she is with her nasty, distasteful attitude. Shame on her. Absolute shame. Dante Greene is the devil; a truly deplorable human being who clearly felt he could walk over someone without a care by luring the other three Articulettes with him via Anita. I admire that Anita is fully aware of things right now; she's considering everything: the positive and the negative. And with Vernon's support and wisdom, she's got this locked in. Oh, more backstory! There was a hiatus to mourn Barbara, and Anita did not come back. I hate to say it, but that does happen in real life. Choice to take a break, for whatever reasons, and you don't come back together. We've seen it before. I like how humble Eva is with her position at the salon and where she came from, especially in beginning as Nicole's assistant. I appreciate that Laura is struggling to transition back into her work space and that she's re-adjusting, with everyone giving her the grace she needs. I love that Jacob is not backing down to Dana and her attempts to "woo" him. YES ANITA! STAND UP FOR YOURSELF! Vernon saw what was coming and said, "I'm going to safety! This is for the women, not me," and he yeeted himself out of there. Katherine should have an office and a badge at this point; she's more than earned it. Oh, there is a slight flirt in Nicole's eye who is enjoying the continued run-ins with Ted; she's in love with him. And that isn't changing. Go on, Anita! You fight for yourself, girl! Speak the TRUTH! Oh, look, Eva and Laura. This is interesting. Very, very interesting. Notes: Febreze and no commercial; maybe it's only Tide that garners the commercials right now? Trisha Mann-Grant (Dana) continues to serve camp, but it's camp done right. It's not a comedy or a mockery; it's pure daytime camp. I wonder who they'll cast as Dante Greene if the role comes onto the scene. I appreciate them bracing the subject matter of suicide in a way that does not come off as... cliche or in poor taste. Tamara Tunie (Anita) is continuing to show up! I love this for her. A true matriarch and legend!
