Again, I really hope he wanted out b/c he couldn't handle the schedule. I just don't want this show to fall into tropes of fallen soaps. Yes, people will come and leave and roles will be recast; however, I don't want this show to have 349 Eva recasts in 2 years. I want this show to win so bad. But congrats to Keith. Members detroitpiston Posted March 22 Members Share Posted March 22 How disappointing this wasn’t an Ashley, Derek, or Martin being replaced… I peeped Keith in a behind the scenes video with Andre’s actor during premiere week, had no idea he’d be joining as the shows first recast lol. He is a great actor so I look forward to seeing his take on the role. Good luck to Maurice Johnson he’s been a good champion for the show and he worked well onscreen at least. I hope it was his choice, but if it wasn’t, then the show made a mistake letting him go IMO. Breathlessly running back and forth between here and Twitter and saying 'omfg you guys this is serious' all the time based on some tweets you saw kind of makes you lose perspective. I don't particularly love Maurice Johnson being out but a recast on a new soap opera is not a major crisis. It is strange.
