Gotcha yeah Y&R definitely has had a bad track record for high profile hires for the last 20 years or so for sure. I think Egan and Thompson are the only ones to make it long term, and that’s definitely not saying much.

I appreciate how much Billy appreciates the craft. I hope Y&R will appreciate it as much as he does. 

I can see how the schedule of DAYS would be enough to make him want to stop. We joke about cheapness and taping 5 years ahead, but they are actually living it. And he's lived it for a decade.

Corday's quote, and ditto Griffith's, is the same as the one posted by TV Insider yesterday. The only thing new in the Variety article, for the most part, is this quote from Flynn:

And JG has wrote nothing but boredom for those two alongside Mark Grossman and Courtney Hope for ages now, the four of them had to pitch Josh the mediocre quadrangle they were in.

I hope BF is getting paid well while he’s there should he end up going the way of Robert Newman, TSJ, Keemo’s daughter, Theo, etc

That was my initial thought too. He was the nice DiMera that fit in well with the Hortons (practically Julie's BFF). Everyone else in the house of DiMera are carbon copies. 

The Dimeras are what ultimately turned me off the show and when I stopped watching on any regular basis. They started to take over everything, and so many of the characters were interchangeable...Stefan and EJ, for example. And, then Megan showed up, and Kristen has become a cartoon character. Chad was the only character in the family that was "human." I always liked his relationship with Theo, too, when they played that.

The DiMeras need to go. EJ and Kristen should get their pink slips. They've been a caricature of characters. The DiMeras have run their course.

Eh, I hope they write Chad out. However, if they're having money woes it might be as simple as they just don't have the money to pay a ten year tenured actor on the show what they deserve. It'll be interesting if we see more cuts.

I think that’s more than likely what happened. It came time to re-up his contract at DAYS, they either told him they would be cutting his guarantees or overall salary, and he and his agent started putting out feelers to the other soaps. Y&R took the bait and offered him a deal he/his agent was happier with. 

what if he's a Cane recast for a Cane/Lily/Damon triangle? Or a JT recast? Wasn't the show planning on bringing JT back but the actor was too booked and busy? 🤣 

it will only be a matter of time until the entire show/storylines revolve around him, Michelle Stafford is obsessed with being paired w/ him, and y'all hate him. lol 

i personally never found him attractive and his acting was always camp af, but I hope for the best.

i didn't mind the character. I found the actor VERY creepy. But I think *now* would be a good time to bring Cane and the twins back onto the canvas to throw a "cane" into the works everywhere. With Billy/Jill on the outs, he could come back as Jill's favorite even still, and we need Lilly's kids back on the canvas and Summer is coming up so they are probably gonna be preparing a "younger cast" storyline anyway.

No. Again, we should never see, hear, speak of that character again. Period. And Billy Flynn shouldn't be cursed with it, either.
