-- Very good show today. Movement in story all over the place.

-- Brandon Claybon is improving as Martin. His scenes with Mike Manning today were his most natural. MM continues to do well.

-- I still think this run for the presidency is ridiculous, and it take me out of the story. Make it AG, or governor, or senator. But president? Sorry, that's a joke.

-- The legal meeting Naomi held should not have been at Orphey Gene's, but since it was, shouldn't the women have at least ordered coffee instead of taking a table for an hour and then walking out?

-- Alex Alegria continues to be sooooo bad as Tomas. I have yet to see a natural line reading.

-- The part of Mike Davis the harassment pig was miscast. They needed some middle age fratboy who we can see Bill hiring. No one would put up with this clown.

-- Good scenes today with Chelsea, Dani, Anita and Vernon, and other regular cast characters.

Dani asking for vodka in her orange juice was very much alcoholic behavior. Chelsea quitting modeling is going to send her further over the edge.

Naomi doesn't much care about what happens with her relationship with her father at this point and that is going to make this story even more exciting because there are no guard rails.

Today was really strong, especially for an episode without my favorites (Silk Press, Eva, and Nicole).

My heart broke for Bill at the end. He really thought she was reacting to his text, and she played that beat well. I'm glad they have kept him grey and given him humanity because it would have been so easy to turn him into a cartoon.

There's a lot to mine because she obviously was inspired by him to go into her career, yet now Bill mentioned to Tomas that their falling out was BEFORE Hailey... I'm intrigued!

I noticed Naomi told her clients she would name Bill "co-plaintiff." She obviously meant defendant. This is like when they said Martin was Senator Richardson, not Congressman. If you're going to set the show in DC and do these ripped from the headline stories, you can't make very basic mistakes like that. Can't believe no one caught it.

I was glad to see in the last couple of episodes that Anita is longing for more because Vernon and Anita are starting to give Nikki and Victor, just holding court at the club or the living room all the time, never doing anything. Anita needs to be involved in some action. That said, those icy stares they gave Martin were fierce and Martin's acting has improved tremendously. I also liked that simplicity of the scene at the end where she said that went well and they sipped their coffee in unison. You can feel that they've been married for decades.

I know I sound like a broken record, but, I truly love this show. Everyday  is a journey of discovering something new about each character.

I think Tamara Tunie and Clifton Davis are simply excellent. They were perfectly cast in their respective roles.

Brandon Claybon did his best work in today's episode. He seemed less robotic and more natural. I can't wait to find out his secret and why Smitty married him to begin with.

And our girl, Dani. She is totally going to have a huge meltdown and I can't wait to see it.

The Bill & Naomi showdown is going to be awesome. Tomorrow can't come soon enough.

      I'd appreciate it if you wouldn't put words in my mouth. I never said he shouldn't have been upset about it. He knew before the wedding and went through with it anyway. She offered to split up with him. He decided to stay. Then he treated her dirt, even after she had just lost her baby. If he couldn't deal with it, he should have left her. (Or, SHE should have thrown him out. The story made no sense.)

      The only way I saw successful playlists for DAYS uploaded to youtube was maybe 10 years ago  .... The uploader had code names for each playlist by obscure nicknames for each character, without mentioning DAYS or the actual character names in the description.  You'd have to be an expert on the show's history to know the obscure nicknames for each character - something mentioned in the show's dialogue once years before. Importantly, commenters were asked to not mention the name of the show or the characters or the actors in their comments, or their comments would be deleted, which meant that the channel owners had to check it daily to delete such comments. AND the videos were all unlisted, so you'd know about it only from word-of-mouth, but were asked not to post about it anywhere. This was many years ago and I enjoyed watching those as they were up for several months. However some unaffiliated fools would create their own playlists on their own personal youtubes, linking to the unlisted videos and labeling their personal playlists with real show name and character names... so of course Sony caught it eventually and it was all lost.

      I honestly felt like Gabi/Alex had a deeper conversation on their short date than Stephanie and Alex have had in their entire relationship.   Didn't Alex try to reboot Titan Publishing with Theresa, and it flopped?   So Sophia and Rachel have the same birthday?  Lol.  It was strange Tate got sick at the party and I have no clue what Sophia's about.  I really don't think she's scheming, but I do think she'll ending wanting to keep the baby. The Kevin stuff is a bit silly.  He needed Phillip to tell him to just make one dose and bring the rest back?  He doesn't have time to do that before the Dr. comes back to the lab?  Kevin's right outside lol. Nice Kayla/Marlena scenes.  I really hope they don't drag finding John out much longer. She said closing in.  Deidre was sobbing so hard I had to check the closed captioning

      Some people will never learn not to mess with Sony/Cordy lol Someone uploaded Days 1984-85 on YouTube with the full name and air date and they wonder why their channel will be banned and the videos lol As much as I love seeing it. We should stop uploading them directly on to dailymotion or Youtube. Such a waste of time

I see him on the paramount PR page https://www.paramountpressexpress.com/cbs-entertainment/shows/beyond-the-gates/talent/ Looks like the page is laid out with the core four (Tunie/Davis/Duplaix/Mosley) first... followed by the rest of the contract actors alphabetically. Maurice Johnson is no longer there, and Keith D. Robinson is at the end alphabetically.

      Kind of a fun show, only slowed down a bit for the penthouse scenes. I'm still not sure if we are meant to be hoping Tate and Sophia fall in love with each other and keep their baby. I felt sorry for her, what a crappy prom birthday that was. Paulina and Xander's negotiations cracked me up. Two players with absolutely no reason to hide their agendas from each other. Refreshing. No comment on Alex getting turned on by Stephanie's book again. This is all the new writers can do for this couple? I know they are shallow and their entire relationship is based on sex but come on, this is mortifying. Philip's bad day has been ongoing all week. I love the comedy stylings of him and Kevin and now they have all the Versavix. A bit of foreshadowing that Xander is going to go nuts on him if he messes up the deal, which I think he has just done. I'm guessing that if Xander does anything to Philip then Kate will spill Sarah's part in the lie as revenge. Steve and Shawn did Kevin a major solid by hiding his thieving. He should just take the lot to Titan who can reverse engineer it, and let EJ get stuck with a hospital with absolutely nothing going for it. Did Shane actually find John or was it just 'closing in' again? Marlena's reaction seemed to indicate he was actually located.
