Hollering. I love how running joke-ish it was throughout the episode.

I felt this episode was fairly repetitive though entertaining - we have already seen Dani confronting Hayley, Kat catching Eva, Martin and Smitty fighting, Ashley talking about her elevator baby🙄,  Jacob feeling inadequate, etc...

Then we get slapped in the face with that Chelsea scene!

I agree, today was repetitive, especially Dani.  We're only on episode 9 and we've seen Dani confront Haley, and hookup with Andre, at least 3 times already.  I hope today was the last time we here about the elevator baby.  Kat/Eva was pretty much the same thing as yesterday.

Shocked by that last scene with Chelsea and the husband/wife.  For a second there, I thought Andre was going to join them when got that text and had the leave.

Who wrote today's breakdown and script? Thanks

Gregori Martin and Cheryl Davis.  And they spelled Phideaux Xavier's name wrong: they had Xaviar.  LOL. If you're the one who's putting the names in the credits, wouldn't you just copy/paste the names, instead of typing it out.

Ugh was there a time jump in between episodes bc there was several things that did not line up. Ashley said its been a long tim since she's had a couple date with Naomi and Jacob. Um they just had one last week, which was like 2-3 days ago

Another inconsistency. Martin checked Smitty on what he told Nicole last night. Um their conversation happened at breakfast so it would have been morning.

Also Andre talked about hooking up last night so for them its the next day.

Eva changed her clothes as has everyone else in the hospital so it cant be the same day as yesterdays show

I noticed this too.  Maybe things got cut for whatever reasons (production didn't go well? the episodes sucked?) so these scenes got bumped up?

Cheryl L Davis wrote the episode, and the pacing felt off a bit.  I wonder if that's due to the breakdown writer or the script writer.

- I view the Ashley/Derek content as what my late mom used to call 'fast forward material' or 'bathroom/snack break'.   I often wonder if writers do the quick scenes because they know viewers do that.

- In the family, I view Chelsea potentially as the neutral member of the family.  What I mean by that is that she can co-exist with all members of the family without issue, and can occasionally be the voice of reason (like with Kat and Dani).  Last scene sounds like she has more then meets the eye in terms of character development.

- Kat vs Eva continues to interest me.. and they better be half sisters at least because the potential is there for a long term story arc with these two.

- Dani was more sub-dued, and I truly hope her speech to Failee is true and she focuses on her future.  Though she should stop saying 'this can never happen again' to Andre because she's hooked up with him three times.. and they're not related, both are single, and it's a healthier way to blow off some steam.

- So we're seeing what I think was the start of Bill and Dani's marriage in his scene with Failee where he wanted her to quit her job.  Hope she doesn't listen and continues to work.. and also explore her friendship with Caroline and if she knows any of the characters (like Ashley, Mona, etc).

- Martin is a jerk... Smitty can do so much better.

Yeah, the actors have all said the first month or two of production was a bit rough and there was a lot of growing pains. Most of their crew has never done daytime soaps before, and in particular, their camera crew and editor was totally new to this way of working. Karla Mosley said a woman had to come out of retirement to train the camera crew how to shoot for soaps in the first month. That and their lighting equipment wasn’t ready during the first week of production.

Tamara Tunie said a lot of the kinks have since been worked out, so I think the production consistency should gradually get better over the next few weeks/month.

Well, Gregori didn't last on the writing team so there's that.  Also wondering if Jazmen lasts as script writer given his recent post where he describes everything in the past tense. Bottom line: some of these hires don't have a ton of experience or any network experience (Gregori).  Writing soaps is tough. I think there'll be other production changes over the first year. But that's to be expected.

I don't care I love her! Hayley should get ALL the draggings. Same with Bill!

I agree. I’m fine with it. Haley hasn’t once apologized or acted like what she did was wrong. She and Bill just assumed Haley will get over it. I thought Dani’s dialogue today was great. Haley was literally in her home, smiling in her face, calling her all while fu.cking her husband and now she’s moved into the neighborhood. Why would she be over it?

Maybe Smitty and Martin are not affectionate because Smitty is miserable and unfulfilled being a stay at home dad and Martin is selfish and controlling because his only concern is his political ambitions and having the perfect home life is part of the image he feels is needed. I would not be surprised if Martin instigated the marriage and the adoptions to help with the image. Adopting older children would fulfill this without the work of babies. Regardless I am happy to watch it play out instead of making assumptions.

I’ve been in long term relationships where after awhile we just lost the affection. There’s always an undercurrent of tension in their scenes outside of yesterday, so the lack of affection doesn’t bother me. Smitty is there to be a trophy husband, nothing more.

Speaking of bad line reading...this guy with Chelesa...ugh.

'Woman to woman. I'll settle for you.' DANNNNNNNNIIIIIII!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My god the guy Chelsea went home with sounded awful. Not a single natural line reading throughout any of his scenes with her.
