I predict they'll be a medical crisis caused by the nurse who held Abe hostage, and that will lead to the end of the B&S plot by the end of the month. Which just may be one of the worst "sweeps" stories ever of DAYS - for the sticklers, I know they don't use sweeps on streaming, it is both a joke, and an observation that they still tend to time stories around traditional sweeps periods.

I cannot believe this Body & Soul crap is STILL going on. If there's a silver lining, at least this garbage got Ron fired. But shooting so far in advance makes it almost impossible to scrap cow dung like this. And that's a huge problem.
February 3Feb 3 Member More Body&Soul. More FakeRafe. This is all so awful. It all makes me NOT want to watch.
February 5Feb 5 Member Kim Coles on her return as the deranged Nurse Whitley King https://www.tvinsider.com/1174381/days-of-our-lives-kim-coles-returns-whitley-king-interview/
February 5Feb 5 Member I adore Kim Coles - her guest appearances on "Frasier" are highlights - and I'm glad she has had good experiences working on DAYS. I just wish the writing for her was a lot funnier.

I'm glad they're all having fun, but I still feel that they deserve better than to be treated like big jokes by two guys who have more problems than a friggin math book.
February 5Feb 5 Member Yeah, I don't need the writing for Kim Coles to be “funnier”, I had actually hoped they would humanize the character with more pathos. The woman's husband and pets died, and they treat it as if this is subject to be mocked. Meanwhile, we are told to take Julie's grief seriously. They played the wacky side of the character throughout Abe's kidnapping. Now it would've been melodramatic to play the guilt associated with the realization of her loss, and how it affected her psyche. They've underestimated Cole's ability to play a more nuanced version of the character so that, as an audience, we can sympathize with her pain. The show feels too disjointed when one day we are meant to learn something from how Julie copes with loss. And the next week, death is easily avoided by a shot in the arm, (that wasn't even wiped with an alcohol pad first).
