Apparently, Eric Braeden was sadly one of many in California to lose his home. Here is a video of him going back. Poor man.

My heart goes out to all affected by these horrible fires. What makes it worse is we will soon have Mr. "Rake The Forests!" back in, who won't give half a damn.

Thank you @Wendy for posting the new ET video of Mr. Braeden.

Did you see that Mr. Braeden was on CNN last night -- he was interviewed after he evacuated,  but before returning to see the ruins.  On CNN he was talking about the fires and ranted about the incoming orange idiot.   The video of that was posted on the previous page of this thread,

This is the movie "Den of Thieves 2 Pantera" that Eric Braden's son wrote, directed, and produced.

With everything going on with the fires,  Mr. Braeden still had the presence of mind to choose for his TV interviews the past couple of days, to wear a jacket with the logo of his son's film.  (maybe he evacuated wearing that jacket, but still, he was intentional about showing it -- he's proud of his son).

'Half-sister.' EXCUSE ME, HEFFA? What did you just say??? I loved AL verbal/non-verbal look she gave when Giggly Heffa said that. In my day, if someone had said that about any of my siblings or a sibling mentioned that, they would get swiftly slapped. Just accept the L, Giggly and keep it moving. Sharon WAS set up. You were...what's the word...WRONG.

Now that it's been pointed out, I can't help but see the differences in costume design. I feel the new designer has definitely brighten up or modernized some characters' clothes (looking at you, Nick) while darkening/changing others (Nikki as a clotheshorse, this episode with Victor in the dark purple shirt which is so different from Victor's usual wardrobe, but so Victor at the same time). I felt that it stuck out at first in mostly good ways, but I'm warming to it. And I know I've already mentioned that now people are dressing like how they should be dressing since it's middle of winter. Well done!

I know CG is happy to be showing up more. Guess what? So am I. I loved seeing Mariah vs Ian in this episode. And just goooods Ray Wise is oh so smooth. He played his words and inflections so good that even if Tessa or Mariah was not getting the mixed meanings that the audience did. Like the line about how if he had not been there, Tessa would have been dead...but making it sound like a regret AND a threat. Love things like that. So well done.

Off screen action? Really?

JG gotta JG, I guess. smh. Where's Chance?

So not looking forward to Sally/Billy/Giggly Heffa. And that heffa is already in heat. A shame since I will admit that was a cute little moment between Sally and Billy. And yes, I enjoyed seeing Summer checking Phyllis.

It's eerie and sad how life imitated art. I thought EB did wonderful, quiet work as he and Victoria watched her house burn down, despite the lack of set and cheesy CGI:

And recall how emotional he was at the rebuilt Newman home. I hope he can have a moment like this IRL with his wife as soon as practicable.

I think that was the first time that I almost cared about a Billy/Chelesa scene. So of course Billy had to start his woe is me act. And then that FF button hit. lol.

And I was happy to see us back on the Daiman storyline. That got an abrupt stop that I did not like at all. Though due to the Cali fires going on right now, it was bittersweet to see images of L. A. And they are already foreshadowing that 1) Lily might be Daiman's foil given her talk with Devon and Abby and 2) Lily as love interest? due to the random of that Billy/Lily scene. In any case, I liked it all and seeing how warm Audra was to Amy. And Yasssss @slick jones beard DOES really make the difference on that man cuz I was immediately drooling. lol. And the vibe he is giving is edgy and cards close to the vest. So I'm interested in Daiman for sure.

And first AL's Summer in leather. And now Abby in a leather skirt. More signs of the new designer. As a Goth, I approve.

.   I actually like Billy with Sally (who continues to make Chelsea the most redundant character), and I have a feeling that eventually Daniel and Lily will begin to thaw. Lily already have it infor Damian before he even showed up in GC will at least give her someone new to bicker with! LOL

It's been a long time coming, and seeing a slightly softer side of Audra (while still keeping her edge) is long overdue. ZS has been breathing fresh air into the GC landscape from the beginning, but it was hard to care about Audra. She and Valarie Pettiford have a great onscreen rapport.  I do have a problem with continuity with Amy's return, well actually two...

    1. Why hasn't Amy reunited with her old friends like Traci, Danny, Lauren  ....

      2. If Damian went for a job interview for a corporation that's located in Genoa City, Wisconsin, wouldn't he see a giant red flag that his Grandfather, Frank was Chief of Police there?

I noticed the influx of leather on Summer and Abby -- and Ordway looks better with the new hairstyle as well.

I don't care if Clare Grace-less Newman s&*ts rainbows, Failly Erin never improved working side by side with Maura West, and she still hasn't. All her scenes are ff material.

Once again, Davidson shows what MAGA SCUM he is. Just an awful human being.

I just looked at his feed. It's FILLED with criticism of Democrats, blaming them for the wildfires, the response, and everything else. He's sickening. I can't respond because the f_ucktard blocked me.

    • I don't think they had any idea who he was this time last year. I think they were keeping their options very open. Same with totally dropping the Trina romance that was spoiled for him in the mags once FV clearly took a shine to him. Frank's priorities are bright and blazing in one color. I do think Gio and Emma seem to have worked out given that she is very dry and sarcastic and he is like a hot golden retriever, but I'd still play the field or explore quads with both with very different people - Emma with a scheming young man (of color), Gio with possibly Trina or someone else, or even a boy. Then maybe put them back together, who knows. But of course none that will happen.

    • He definitely got lost in the shuffle last year. First, they were implying that he was Drew’s son, then he was nothing more than just Violet’s bff

And then they changed him to being Dante and Brook Lynn’s son, which was clunky at first but I’m enjoying the storyline now.
    • GM is adorable, charming and fun onscreen despite months of nothing to do until recently, and has a bodacious bod. I'm not cosigning the show or this story - I haven't watched a full episode in over a month - but I think we're all taking the small victories in 2025 at this point. I'm open to testing this theory!
    • I think Jason might've posted some numbers for the syndication a while ago and the numbers for Falcon Crest was horrible. Like 1.5 rating or something, which was terrible.    ETA: it was actually Paul Raven:   New to syndication 60 min Fall Guy 67 markets 3.1/8 Falcon Crest 110 markets 1.1/5 To get into the top 40, you needed a 4.6/9 rating for reference - and Falcon Crest managed to get into a lot of markets to begin with. In the fall of 1985 Dynasty, Dallas and Knots were syndicated (show / rating / share / coverage % / markets): Dallas 3.4 10 51.7 92 Dynasty 3.4 10 48.7 47  Knots Landing 3.3 10 12.5 20  So, Knots as an example trippled Falcon Crest's rating with 20 markets - I'm sure those were major ones but it just goes to show you how much Falcon Crest bombed in syndication.
    • It's not bad but the stories move too slow. It's the same problem when Dan O'Connor was CO-HW with Van Etten, they have a million stories and they all drag on endlessly with no resolution. I'd argue the majority of the stories airing now are good but you get sick of waiting months for something to happen.
    • Thanks. I must have missed that period entirely for Lifetime.
    • Thanks. I know Marland did that type of thing sometimes but it's less likely with these characters. I don't even remember Alex ever mentioning him.
