What are some scary-horror inducing scenes that you'll always remember? 

It could be anything that creeped you out. Maybe even a scene that wasn't supposed to be scary, but... managed to freak you out.

I instantly have this one example.

Nola on Edge of Night... For some reason... this little moment with the face reveal disturbed me. Gave me the creeps. For some context - It's a wife of a man who has disguised herself as an old woman in order to befriend her husband's younger crush and poison her. Iconic stuff. 

 

Margo being thrown in the van before she was gang-raped on ATWT. The silence, then the scream… terrifying… 4 minutes in:

 

For weeks on Another World, a mystery man was stalking Felicia.  Jason Frame had given her a gun for protection.  At Felicia’s 40th birthday party, the mystery man disguised himself as a strongman from the circus. He followed Felicia into a hall of mirrors, and when she fired the gun- a dead Jason Frame came crashing through the mirrors.  The mystery man turned out to be Derek Dane- he was a young boy that lived in Felicia (Fannie Grady’s) house as a foster child.  He killed Felicia’s abusive father, Noah Grady.

 

 

I was horrified as a kid when Y&R David Kimble got plastic surgery and wound up with the word “Killer” etched in his forehead.

His trash compactor death was a little silly, but that's some freaky makeup.

Tried to locate the video on youtube but sadly it may have been removed, but I found the scenes of Veronica trying to kill Nikki at the Newman Ranch on Y&R to be not just thrilling but scary (and Veronica's overall look creepy). It was so scary to watch in real time as a kid, and rewatching it today it's a tour de force in directing. 

The David Kimble reveal was equally creepy/scary too. 

So many scenes from Y&R could be listed in this thread actually, just a testament to the directors, producers, and writers commitment to taking their job seriously.

This is my earliest memory of Another World.  I was 5 years old and terrified.

I had a childhood friend who had nightmares of Alma Rudder dressed up as Raggedy Ann to terrorize Blaine Ewing.

That freaked me out and I cried for hours. That whole Text message killer story had so many frightening scenes that scared me and were “shocking”

I thought Jill terrorizing Val and and force feeding her sleeping pills on Knots was scary/creepy. 

Another KL storyline that was creepy was Laura's rape. It had elements of "Looking For Mr. Goodbar".

On Dallas I thought it was creepy when J.R. caused Pam to fall from the hayloft and miscarry. It was kind of played off as an accident, but J.R. was clearly walking towards her on his knees probably figuring she would try to pull away. That WHAM! when she fell also made you think she broke her neck or fractured her scull.

 

This scene of the face reveal... creeped me OUT... AS HELL. 

Michael raping Bianca on AMC. That whole thing with her face hitting the window.

Even when you know it's coming, the reveal of Stacey as the first Loving Murders victim still packs a punch.
