Thanks for this. I'm looking forward to it far more than I look fwd to anything Marvel these days.

Season 1 was lightning in a bottle and as we've all said, very soap-coded in many ways. It also got away with a lot in terms of dialogue and subtext that most American animated shows wouldn't, particularly in the Genosha episode (probably the best filmed piece of X-Men media ever) and in the intimate stuff, as well as in Xavier's final scorching speech to the Shi'ar. I just hope that danger and anger isn't gone with Beau DeMayo, who obviously needed to be let go and can't come back.
