It would be very silly if Everett turns out to be Ben and Jordan's brother.  And I don't know why Clyde wouldn't have recognized him during their visit in the prison, but it looks like that is where this is headed.  Especially because everyone in Salem is someone's long-lost child, unless they were born on screen. (Tripp, Stefan, Chad, John, etc...)

While I agree that historically Stephanie hasn't been cast as Horton-adjacent, she spent Thanksgiving with them, and she's close to the kids, so I will give that a pass.

I was distracted that Chad brought a thermos of coffee to the graveside.  Did Abby and Chad share something special about coffee?  Was it just that the props department didn't want to make a fake Starbucks cup?  It just seemed large and out of place.  At least make it a fake Stanley mug.

Why do Chanel and Johnny need to do it in the storeroom when they are staying at the hotel five feet away?  And now they're going on another honeymoon.  Also, a bit of heavy-handed foreshadowing that they mentioned the cabin being secluded.  Could a certain drug smuggling murderer escapee be nearby?

I don't claim to be an expert on this and don't check everyday, but usually when I do Days is in the top 10.  On the lower end, but still there.  I have no idea what Peacock wants Days to hit as far as numbers, but it seems to be in the mix of top ten shows.

Nothing happened on today's episode.

Chanel and Johnny are boring as hell.

Isn't it enough having Tripp and Wendy with that title too?

Are we sure Johnny is actually the child of Samantha Brady and EJ DiMera? I didn’t think it’d be possible for one of their offspring to be this bland and pointless. Honestly Allie was the more interesting twin and she’s a Horton.

I like Julie's relationship with both of them, but I still find it strange Stephanie doesn't go to events like Jude's christening and seems so removed from the Brady side of her family.  Chad walks a very good line of interacting with both his Horton side of the family and his Dimera side.

    • Search YT for Edwyn Sanchez, he posted an AI enhanced episode of ATWT and it is beautiful.
    • That's so funny, that's how I listen to Montecito - while walking my dog. I'll have to check out Forever & a Day.
    • I need to listen! Forever & a Day was a fun soapy podcast to have available when I walked the dog.
    • A few years ago, Devon and Nick started a charity organization together, I think it's for housing in the community.
    • I’m hoping to start getting to know Vernon better this month. He’s really only been a bunch of noble and good tropes so far. I don’t want him to be taken down the way Ted has been, but it seems he was a long-running Senator and no matter what party you are, lasting longer than twenty years means you’re looking out for you (and not who you’re supposed to be looking out for) most of all. I want to get to know both Vernon and Anita beyond their Dupree posturing. Clifton Davis can sleepwalk handling the kind of material Christopher Bernau and David Lewis handled and I’d like to see more than just a saint.
    • I thought Emily/Hal was a really interesting pairing. And I think KMH played that version of Emily very well! It might not have been what people wanted from Emily, and the writing got pretty gross at the end, but I thought she embodied that character effectively.
    • Don't know if this exactly fits here, but it is connected: Does this abandoned building look familiar? It is one of those explorer videos - and the outside may look VERY familiar if one watched GH in the '70s and '80s!

    • So, I have been in the hospital all week. I am close to being up to date on my soaps. Now I have to go to the Infusion Ctr daily to get IV antibiotics, for 6 weeks. I am frankly exhausted. A hospital is no place to be when you're sick. Hooked up to machines that go beep beep beep all day & night long. Someone wakes you up every hour on the hour for something, either to stick you with needles or to take your gosh-awful blood pressure for the umpteenth time. So, you don't get any sleep. Now I have a central line, upper right chest. After they "installed" it, I said, I am now Borg. They just stared at me. Apparently scifi is not general knowledge. What happened? I have an infection inside my big toe right foot & it burned the skin on my foot. The burned skin is already better. It was like a bad sunburn. The infection inside the toe is the issue. Oral antibiotics won't even get its attention. So, IV antibiotics plus time.

As Salem bids farewell to John Black on Monday, the "Days" family and fans say a final goodbye to Drake Hogestyn.   From his time as a young man playing baseball in the minor leagues for the New York Yankees to his almost four-decade run as John Black, Drake always did his best. And, while becoming a soap opera icon, he spent almost 40 years at "Days" telling the best stories and taking the younger cast under his wing to make sure they would do their best as well. Thank you, Drake, for the legacy you have left for everyone at "Days." The impact you made on the cast, crew and fans will never be forgotten...and that's a fact.
    • I found an interview with Joseph Breen (Will Jeffries) where he mentions that Reva was put in a coma so Zimmer could go to Hollywood to do a pilot (OMG, if ONLY it had been picked up, LOL) and that Sonni and Josh and Will became a popular with the audience while she was out of commission.  If you want to read the whole thing: https://www.authorsden.com/visit/viewarticle.asp?id=47394 Breen was known for being very candid in interviews, I wish I could find more of them. I seem to recall he made a couple of snarky comments about Zimmer, implying she was not above acting like a diva. Sounded to me like he had a lot of respect for Forbes (who went on to have a very strong and varied career after GL).
