Dear God. RIP, Alec.

I remember watching him on I Wanna Be A Soap Star and just enjoying him. While they underutilized him as Del on AMC, he did have a presence onscreen.

I hate seeing our stars drop like flies.

The only thing I remember about Alec Musser's Del was that time when he wore just a pair of decorative red sweatpants for Christmas at (I think) Wildwind.

I just shared my thoughts in the AMC thread, but AM was nice eye candy and a decent enough actor for his role/purpose on the show. I wish they'd done more with him - they really just kinda stuck him with the Di/Dixie mess that did no one any favors. He was so young, and I would assume fairly healthy.

Heartbreaking. I saw his girlfriend saying originally she thought it was COVID - or maybe she just meant the COVID led to depression.

So sad. We've lost so many from suicide. It's so important that we as a society remove the taboo so many people feel when it comes to seeking mental health help. Unfortunately, men in particular are often taught that should be able to just "suck it up" and deal with things on their own. As a result, many never seek help and that sometimes leads to this. My thoughts go out to his loved ones.

Yeah, I would think she meant the latter because the reports I originally read following news of his death claimed COVID-related things, but to go from that to now being an apparent suicide in the manner stated in the medical examiner's report is just odd.
