Were many scenes cut during today's classic?

They cut a short scene where Nicholas visits Victoria. Other than that I noticed a few spots where they might have very subtly cut dialogue within a scene. They honestly could have cut both Michael scenes since they didn't connect to any other story, but I'm glad they didn't.

They obviously replaced the music during Nina and Ryan's dance, but the tune in the original doesn't sound like a famous song.

Traci really came over just to read Lauren 😂

I always like when a classic shows the Nikki and Jack marriage. I’d like to see some of them as friends in the 80’s

It really is wild how much the music enhanced the scenes back then. I dunno what you call what we get today.

Thank you. Did they remove the fade to black in the 2020 reruns as well? Felt weird for it to just cut to the credits in these older shows.

I did not realize Nina desperately went after Victoria’s husband. Wow.

That phone sex voice. 🤣 She was so pathetic.

Has it ever been explained the aversion to using music more like the kind in the 90’s. It doesn’t sound dated, it actually sounds dramatic.

It's per CBS / Sony Pictures Television. When Jill Farren Phelps was hired, she was told to "update" everything, from music to production, so therefore classic cues were axed.

Nicholas was SORASed twice. Went from 2 to 6 in 1990, then 10 to 17 in 1994.

Yeah in the original episode, Ryan and Nina dance to a Celine Dion song, which gets changed during that scene.

Am I the only one who is rather underwhelmed by Amelia Heinle's performances in this storyline so far? I really hope she steps it up for whatever is to come.
