Had a night of watching movies with my daughters recently:

The Lake House - hated it

The Wild - okay but really didn't like it

Poseidon - didn't really like it at all - not even half as good as the original

Vera Drake: Very sad and moving. I expected it to be a melodrama about some lady's struggle but it's totally different, she's an abortionist! :o

As Good as it Gets: Better and better with each viewing.

Miami Vice: Most boring action movie ever! And the audio is awful.

Man of the House: Stupid, dopey fun.

I watched What about Bob on DVD the other night, it was okay. I got a lot of cleaning done while doing it.

PS - I LOVE your avatar WorldTurns.

I finally watched Adaptation the other night. I had heard it was good, and that Meryl Streep & Nicolas Cage were good in it, but always avoided it. I finally bought it on DVD when it was put on sale recently and finally watched. I was very surprised. It is a really good movie - one of those you have to watch and pay attention too.

Well I just saw Borat.

It was...interesting. I laughed so hard, yet it was so gross and offensive....but I laughed so much. Oh well. There were some people that got up and left actually.

I just saw Borat tonight. I honestly didn't really know what to expect but it was okay. I don't know if it would be worth watching a second time.

I laughed during many parts of the movie but I respectfully disagree with Entertainment Weekly who had a cover that asked if it was the funniest movie ever.

You, Me & Dupree - Meh. It was ok, not the best movie in the world. Very mediocre comedy and Matt Dillon is HORRIBLY miscast and out of place the entire movie with Owen and Kate.

Dillon is better in dramatic roles...he is not very good with comedy!

The Woodsman: Slow moving but good. Kevin Bacon is convincing as a pedophile.

Great Expectations: (Gwyneth Paltrow version). Very rushed, I'm sure the book is much better.

The Holiday with Kate Winslet, Jude Law, Jack Black & Cameron Diaz.

I liked it. I don't care if the critics hated it.

They can eat grass. LOL
