Now lets see if the Marlena/Alex wedding plus potential Alex Murder will ALSO keep ratings where they are!

J&M have proven to be a big pull with audience for big events....lets keep out fingers crossed!

Well from the spoiler previews, it sounds like she may have a pretty big one coming up here in May! Lets hope the show delivers...I want Missy happy so that she re-signs in August!

Awesome numbers for Days.

I only hope they stay the same this week. I could see increases in demos for this week but HH may go down since nothing really big happened unless people get into the wedding buildup.

I wonder what days is thinking about Shimi. They pulled in great numbers for the wedding. Wonder if that will affect anything.

I think if Days can stant the same in HH for this week the first week of april they will go up for sure because something is going to happen with Alex. J&M usually pull in good numbers so I am hoping for staying the same in HH and either increasing or staying the same in demos.

As for Missy, ratings and story has nothing to do with it. I agree she just may want a change.

Good ratings for B&B! :D

Missy is apparently unhappy with Jennifer moving on so soon after Jack's last "death".

I've got the feeling Matt/Missy will both leave DAYS for good in August, and Jack/Jen will get a happy ending.

allatwitter that happens because some days there are more viewers watching TV (at a certain time) so what might have been good for a 2.8 the day before is only good for a 2.7 this day even though that could include more viewers watching on the 2.7 day then the 2.8 day. It's a percentage, same thing if there's less viewers watching that day at that time.

500 people watching TV that day at that time. 50 watching DAYS. 10%.

800 people watching TV this day at this time. 80 watching DAYS. 10%, even with 30 more viewers.

Something like that! ;)

Congrats to DAYS for having an awesome week.... not really happy its at the expense of my AMC but hey, DAYS fans need some good news :) So its nice to see any soap have that dramatic of a rise from one week to the next. ATWT went up too passing AMC so AMC dropps down to 6th in total viewers. Such a see-saw LOL. Nice to See Y&R holding strong it has friggin rocked the last few weeks!

What a suprise this week in the ratings has turned out to be for DAYS!!

#3 In Total Viewers

#4 in Households

#1 in 18-49

#1 in 18-34

#1 in 12-17

#4 in Males

Awesome....this is SOO good for DAYS, this is their 3rd week in a row of gains in the ratings, something that has GOT to help them during teir negotiations.

I mean DAYS can now use the "We are currently #1 in 18-49 AND 18-34" i know its only for one week...but DAYS still has been pretty decent so far in demos in 2006, definetly 3 or 4 #1's in 18-49 and I think they have been #1 in 18-34 every single week so far in 2006 (including the tie with Y&R two weeks ago).

Last week all soaps went up and this week most soaps went up, which is a nice thing to see for once and its not even a "sweeps" month.

I know its just one week, but WHERE are all the DAYS naysayers NOW, speak up! I am not being cocky because DAYS had a huge week, DAYS may go down quite a bit next week, but everytime DAYS does well the DAYS naysayers are like Helen Keller, not seen or heard from.

    • My god the smirking was back in full force today. He almost started smiling after Johnny mentioned he wouldn’t be there if EJ hadn’t raped Sami. I will say I did like seeing him with Dee as they’ve always had great chemistry.    They really are giving a lot of false hope with John getting better. I wish they hadn’t done that. Monday is going to be devastating. I really liked all the characters mixing and mingling today.  Nu-Rachel is still too sweet for me. Loved all the flashbacks. Everyone looked so young. Really enjoyed Brady’s scenes with John today.
    • Valerie Mahaffey Dead: ‘Northern Exposure,’ ‘Dead to Me’ Actress Was 71 Loved her. I've never seen her Doctors work.
    • Valerie Mahaffey Dead: ‘Northern Exposure,’ ‘Dead to Me’ Actress Was 71 I just loved Valerie on my early '90s TV shows. This one gets me.
    • I assume they did at some point during the finale...
    • Kelly was a horribly-written character overall. Just think, two Emmy-winning actresses (including Cynthia Watros, Nina, GH, and Annie, GL) couldn't make it work. Pamela is campy, but so are Dani, Vanessa, Leslie, and Joey. And, I don't want to be too judgy because my love for camp changes depending on the show. OLTL, DAYS, and some eras of GH had me rolling with the camp. However, Passions was overkill and I hated it. And, here, I can take it or leave it. It's ok in small doses (note to RC). I see this show as more of a serious drama.
    • I think one of the reasons that pilot didn't get picked up was because Vicki L was associated more with being Thelma Harper and playing older then she was playing her own age.  It was a blessing it didn't get picked up, or we would have been deprived of the syndicated era of Mama's Family.   Also, worth noting a Pre Night Court Marsha Warfield and pre Perfect Strangers Rebecca Arthur in the cast.  All talented women, but stuck with a bad script. And the other pilot had a pre Fran Fine.. Fran Drescher as the best friend.  I think that pilot might have been picked up if Karen Valentine and Fran Drescher switched roles.
    • So, on rewatch....did Rick and Mindy never have sex?
    • Cady had a fairly posh accent or manner as Rosanna - the character was a 180 from Dixie when she went to ATWT, and it was a huge success initially. As someone mostly only familiar with the nagging, miserable or clueless Dixie of the mid-late '90s and early 2000s it was what convinced me Cady could act. I thought she was incredible in her first run. Later, in future stints, her hair and story and performances were all over the place but a lot of that was down to the show for me. She brought some of Rosanna back with her to Dixie in her ill-fated return and a lot of people didn't like it, which I understood but I did think the character needed some change. I think she's had a little bit of the same persona and arch performance in every role she's played since, including Jennifer Horton at DAYS or Kelly at Y&R, who later became a maniac and was easily the worst work I've ever seen Cady do. It has kind of infected her overall mannerisms, I'll allow that, but I do think she brought Dixie back together as herself while still evolving the character when she returned to AMC again in 2012-13. Nonetheless, for me the upshot is that this is a character where Cady's kookier recent performance style suits the role. But I can understand it grating for people.
    • Yeah, Loretta Swit's passing stings. My late dad LOVED the show (he died last November) and watched it religiously. In first run and repeats.  And I was literally born the day after the show's premiere, so I grew up with it! I know many loved later, softer Margaret, but I loved Early Hot Lips. In real life, I'm all for less misogyny, but to me, the early years of M*A*S*H were just funnier. May Loretta Swit rest in peace. Thanks for all the memories connected to my dad!
