I agree 100%.  I like him a lot on OLTL and enjoy watching him again after all this time.  He really shines in the role.

Phyllis sounded so pathetic when she admitted out loud she left her career JUST to spy on Diane. These women are so obsessed with her like she’s done anything worse than any of them. It’s like Nikki forgets her drunk ass did knock Diane over the head with a big ass rock. The whole reason she was able to fake her death.

I really wish Diane would throw it in her face! Like "Bitch, I couldn't have faked my death had you not bludgeoned me with intent to kill!"

Woof! That's gotta be awkward!

I had joked about Connor and Johnny being demon seed kids in another thread lol but actually the scenes of them were actually cute, although the dialogue that was written for two preteen boys was horrible lol.

The viewer discretion warning at the beginning  yet no PSA ending was strange. Chelsea’s unraveling has been a long time coming though, and probably more of a nice reason Chelsea to take a loonnnggggg around the world vacation with her mother after this story is over.

For a Friday episode though it was seriously boring overall….I mean half the episode was devoted to Devon and Abby commiserating together….Maybe this show the show needs to also ad a warning about the show inducing narcolepsy as well?

Someone tried lighting into me on YouTube because I said that the depression story would be so much more impactful and resounding with a character people care about, or even like. Chelsea is not that! The acting is good, but Chelsea isn't exactly going to leave sinkhole in the canvas. She's been isolated for a while. Her mother  hasn't even been involved! At this point, just lock her up after a breakdown and forget her.

At the end of the episode, they should've had Melissa Claire Egan do a PSA/Suicide Hotline. It seems a bit irresponsible not to do so. The British soaps I watch always make sure at the end of episodes to click on the network's website for support.

Agreed. Very irresponsible.  If they want to show that drama, then post the hotline info, too, it's not that hard.

Well they tweeted this.  988 is the new suicide line in the USA since July 2022.

They put the same message on the official Y&R facebook here:
https://www.facebook.com/TheYoungandtheRestless/posts/10166530497405315

I have seen nothing yet on Y&R instagram.

And the Y&R youtube shows only the clip of Chelsea about to jump.

Unless you checked the Y&R twitter or facebook that day, you'd miss it.  They should've put a PSA within the episode.

    • Yes, they did a 'premiere' of Maggie's death episodes at the ArcLight theatre in Los Angeles, arguably then the nicest movie theatre chain in the USA. Plus, Suzanne and Deidre were in a ton of scenes together during this time. Whatever happened between them happened after 2004.
    • There are episodes with Jenny (Mary Ellen Stuart) that she was in pre-writers strike.. and I know that she lasts until at least August 1988. It's a shame that the show didn't try pairing her with Rusty since the two had more chemistry than she had with Ross and that he had with Rose.
    • Was that when she put on the"Slut of Springfield" red dress and made a complete ass of herself at the CC, so of course Alan fell madly in love with her on the spot?
    • Oohh...now I'm not sure. Long did come back in '87, didn't she. She broke up Ross and Vanessa almost from her first minute back. Van and Ross are at the Country Club when Josh dumps Reva. And Reva dramatically drapes herself on the CC stairs.
    • Glad you enjoyed watching. Yes, Michael seems like fun. I am always interested in more of these niche talk show appearances.
    • Thanks for the tag @DRW50
    • Upon reflection, I think you're right, their chilliness toward each other was more recent. She said women on the show in 1984 were not supportive and she still stays away from them. She seems friendly with Susan Hayes so Deidre is the only woman still around from those days, though I guess Kristian Alfonso and Leann Hunley could also qualify. And it might be someone long gone but who is still present in Suzanne's social circles.
    • I don't know.  The animosity seems to be more recent than the mid 80s.  When Maggie was a victim of the Salem Stalker i remember reading an interview with Suzanne where she said they aired the episode(s) surrounding Maggie death in a theatre and made a big deal about it.  Suzanne was very upset about being fired and Dee comforted her and said that they were making such a big deal about it because it was Suzanne/Maggie.  I cannot find the article but I will keep trying. That said Suzanne's comments on Soapy about how some of the female cast members treated her during her illness was disappointing to hear to say the least.
    • Anyway... Kristen should have a prison lesbian story arc. And then come out and become obsessed with Marlena so we can move her on from the Brady nonsense. Is that secret room still in the DiMera mansion?
    • Oh, wow... where can I find this interview?
