I tuned in briefly and saw that Diane sold him out for breaking his restraining order with Harrison, but RN and SW had real heat from the little I saw of them together. He had so much story potential but once he's gone there is no impact on the canvas. Both Sharon and Victoria have been widowed after short lived marriages which severely limits their story options, especially when those marriages were the latest of many.
