1) The congressional hearings are pretty significant, but really should be on CBSN exclusive instead. With the news competition being so tight these days I think CBS would be fine to air regular programming on its main network.

And

2) CBS/Paramount+ needs to  follow what NBC/Peacock does and goes ahead to release the same day episode via streaming and/or late night rebroadcast. Heck with it being summer reruns just show it in primetime lol.

It’s 2022 yet CBS is the one network that insists like it’s still like 1982. Maybe it’s catering to the 55+ demos LOL, but it does get obnoxious, especially since CBS had been airing soccer matches pre-emptying the soaps in large swathes of the country that apparently got extremely abysmal ratings.

I agree. That was better, but….

That crowd for the launch IN THE HOTEL LOBBY??? I realize the set was extended a bit, but they’re still in the lobby. Awful.

Speaking of awful, who dressed Nikki? That blue sparkly thing could not look more matronly. Jill looks so much better.

+1. Didn’t mean to diminish the hearings in anyway as they are significant and need to be held in full public view. My second option from that post is the most sensible really; news is important but I still need to escape to my happy place at the end of the day.

The three of them were definitely the highlights of the last two episodes. I actually loved the scenes of where Imani met Jill just classic.

The Jack & Diane scenes are a breath of fresh air as they were last week. LMAO at a very hypocritical Nikki on why “do people like Ashland and Diane” get forgiven.

Having an actually large crowd of extras for launch party was a pleasant surprise and gave a more natural feel and noise for the scenes opposed to all the canned noise.

His social media/IMDb doesn't have his age but from some posts he's made, I'm guessing 1989 is his birth year.
    • Here's the timeline, as I recall it being published. The WGA strike was 5/2–9/27/2023 Annalynne McCord was announced as being hired in December 2023, for a one-year contract https://deadline.com/2024/06/days-of-our-lives-when-to-expect-annalynne-mccord-peacock-1235975806/ RonC's first scripts back from the strike began airing May 31, 2024 (around Konstantine & Maggie's wedding) https://www.tvinsider.com/1137709/days-of-our-lives-writers-return-15000th-episode-storylines/ Her first air date was June 19th 2024. The actress has said she was not told who she would be playing until she started taping. RonC 's replacements were announced July 2024, with his scripts airing through April 2025 Side note: DAYS social media team seems to be playing fast and loose with BTS videos, in terms of how far in advance they film content, so we shouldn't assume anyone's current status, versus those who were there nine months ago.
    • April and her husband (Draper) are the "young leads" who tie all the storyline threads together.  They're normally in the center of the action.  In this particular storyline, Draper is the attorney who represents Paige Madison.  (The district attorney, Logan Swift, has given Paige Madison "temporary immunity from prosecution" if she will lead the police to the members of the Tobias Gang who stole the firearms.  But Paige mainly just ducks bullets from various gang members who pop-up to assassinate her.)
    • It's one thing to post about a soap's rumors or gossip, which in point of fact we've all done. It's another to present yourself as the inside source who knows something to be fact that's about to break wide, then backtrack and call it just Twitter speculation. Between those two extreme poles you have to commit to one or the other. If I got something wrong, I'd say it. (Nor would I keep playing insider after what I pulled with Drake Hogestyn, which should've gotten someone permanently banned.) And regardless, you don't open with this 'news' you don't actually want to stand by yet by mocking DRW's extremely valid concerns re: how the Trina character and Tabyana Ali has been marginalized and put out to virtual pasture ever since the day NAC left. Her playing out her current contract in a C-storyline with Kai does not change that.
    • Yeah, I thought it would be more explosive or heated and it was kind of standard.  Both can do more with the material.  I just don't think the writing was there.
    • Daphnée and TMG are on Instagram live (as we speak) and are saying they don’t know why Maurice left.
    • Anita let SilkPress know what time it was!
    • Kat vs. Eva and Anita vs. Leslie were today's highlights.
    • TBF, the majority of Month 2 was them beefing up all the side-stories...mind you Duprees as well as non-Duprees...and it did not seem like people were taking to it as well as they were taking to stories in Month 1. If anything I feel (hope) that May Sweeps is going to shift...while dealing with the aftermath of the Nicole/SilkPress storyline...to the next big story aka Martin's Secret. But that's me hoping that Martin's meltdown over SilkPress jiggles some memories of his out...which I was already hoping would happen. Add on that Bill is involved in both stories now...that might be his way of being sure nothing happens to him now in light of SilkPress's antics.    And...same. I feel they did a better job than expected with Vanessa/Doug with me because I didn't even realize how invested I was until their talk at the hospital and Doug made that subtly blunt comment about their arrangement...making the various online discussions online real. And for me, relevant.
