What weird acting from Billy Flynn. He looked guilty upon the discovery instead of horrified.

He's always made weird acting choices.

I haven't seen today yet, but the setup of it all actually sounds pretty good. Still think that this is a big mistake though.

It was all pretty meh. A very basic and generic set up.

It was almost like he was playing the scene as comedy. So goofy-looking.

Yeah he's done that before. I remember a serious scene where instead he was smiling and giggling. It didn't make sense.

I wonder if it's a personal choice or just lousy directing

There are times when it works for me in Chad’s scenes. The smiling comes across as arrogance. Like “you’re a joke to me, so I’m just gonna grin.” Today, it felt like clowning, and actually the silly music and staging felt like it supported his choice.

He learned it from Chandler Massey. None of these actors are getting proper direction or being reined in and the young guns just clown half the time.

Acting technique aside, the way it happened you'd think Chad would immediately be a suspect since the husband is always the first suspect by (competent) police and considering he tampered with the body by moving Abby it would be the best dramatic direction to take for this storyline.

Oh totally agreed on that point and would be perfect as the story progresses, as you say. It’s just weird that they appeared to skip the immediate horror and shock.

Chad and Abby didn't have any problems that were visible on screen. Why should viewers invest in this murder mystery? The suspects are Gwen, Leo and Kristen. The mystery will probably be dumb as hell and drag on. AND of course

1. Abby will return alive and well

2. The person responsible for her death won't be punished.

There's no reason to invest in this.

Now that I've finally seen the episode, all I'm gonna say is that if this has to be done, then I hope it's done right. Not just for the Abigail story, but for every other storyline as well.

My finger just can't push the play button.😂
