Why are Shawn and Belle acting like Jan holds all the cards? They really need to tell this girl that they’re the bosses in this whole mess.

But overall, I really enjoyed today too. It reminded me of Passions, in the years that it was good lol and I really liked the parallels that were drawn between Tripp and John, back when he fought MarDevil in the morgue during the original possession. And I’ll say it again: Tripp may be boring, but he’s definitely the type of guy that you would spend the rest of your life with

I see Soap Twitter isn’t a big fan of him though

Plus, I see Ron borrowed my idea about borrowing from the end of The Exorcist

And, welcome back, Bo. We’ve missed you

Today's show was pure garbage! The acting was horrible. The ending with Tripp was laughable. It reminded me of......

Idk, I get why most of you didn't like it, but the Possession ending, Ciara/Ben getting their stupid kid back, Tripp throwing himself out a window, Jan wanting to name her kid Britney Spears, and GhostBo?  Any one of those things would be a highlight in a normal episode lol.

I'm watching right now on Peacock and those were my exact words.

If I remove myself from the show's history and take these episodes at face value, I can see how teens would enjoy it the same way they enjoyed Passions (as someone mentioned upthread) and shows on Disney. I'm all for the idea that there's several ways to be a soap. But I do realize how frustrating it is for loyal viewers to see the identities of their shows change so drastically. I went through it with AMC and OLTL.

I'm also very against naming that baby Bo. I say this as one of many relatives (including my own dad) named after my great-grandfather, but soaps (especially B&B) do this to death. It's particularly egregious when a baby is named after an iconic character like Bo. Thank G-d Kendall nor Bianca never named a daughter Erica, I would have been sick.

Well, we spoke up for Tripp just in time to lose him! I suppose it is worth it to be shed of the devil. If I never have to hear the words, "THE DEVIL" Muah ha ha, again it will be too soon. I just had to go ahead & watch today. I'll just be a day behind on GH this week. So, what did I think? Honestly, I am so glad to see this day come that I just feel like having a good stretch & falling asleep calm, where after watching DOOL I am usually tense. Watching especially Ciara, half the time garish & half the time really pretty & soft lit, I am well pleased. Now Ava has no sons. Salem took them both from her.

    • Yes, they did.  I still have them.  I think there were three.  AMC and GH as well.
    • Ah okay, thats what I thought. I was hoping I missed the announcement somewhere. Thanks for the clarification.
    • A new day in Salem… and a new day for Days.  I like the way everybody found out and absorbed the news about John’s death, and how they all eventually found their way to Marlena’s to offer their condolences. I’m not particularly sure why they waited until the next day to tell everybody but I don’t really mind it.  We finally got Roman’s perspective! His scenes with Kayla were one of the best parts of today. I’m glad that Roman is thankful for everything that John did for his kids. I agree with posters who said that he should’ve had a scene like this with John, but I’m happy we got this at least.  Julie was used very well today too. She’s definitely the best person for Marlena to have scenes with at the moment. Hopefully, Julie continues to be there for her. And yes, I totally agree with Marlena and Belle sending EJ away when he came to the apartment. I’m curious to see what’s going to happen to his and Belle’s relationship in the aftermath of all this. And, while I enjoyed most of Brady and Kristen’s scenes, I still think the ship has sailed for them. Hopefully, the aftermath of John’s death causes Brady to finally end this thing with her once and for all.  And, I see a lot of people were wearing some kind of shade of purple today.

    • Wow, I love that current and former actors are participating in this. I barely recognize Staci Greason! She looks fine, just very different. But I will be happy to hear anecdotes from her. I shipped RoJohn and Isabella hard back in the day, and I sobbed buckets in my dorm room at college when Izzy B passed. Honestly, I'm interested in everyone's stories. Drake seemed like he was well loved among the cast.
    • When she first appeared, I was sure she was setting Tyrell up for a prank. She was too much of a manic pixie dream girl- I wasn't surprised Tyrell also became suspicious. Now I'm not so sure. If Jessica genuinely likes Tyrell, it seems like a missed opportunity to not have started her out as a bully, then we see her gradually catch feelings for Tyrell.  The McBrides are definitely the "C" family of BTG. They always get last priority. There have been a few times where the Doug/Vanessa/Joey characters reference off screen conversations which seem too important to not show us. Like when Doug thanked Joey for giving him extra time to pay off the loan. When did that happen? Or when we abruptly moved from Vanessa/Joey at Uptown to Vanessa/Doug in the hotel room. The McBrides don't even have their own set - even though Vanessa is a realtor. It's a shame because I am a fan of the characters and actors.

I am also adjusting to KR as Ted but I feel that AM and MJ had way more chemistry as father and daughter than AM and KR. We saw Eva dream of having a real relationship with MJ's version of Ted for months so it's a bit of a bummer not to have that payoff with the original actor except for those scenes in MJ's last episode.  Something I noticed about Eva today is how she takes genuine delight in being a schemer. As badly as she wants to be a Richardson, she still has so much of her mom in her. It was jarring seeing her earnestly promise to steer clear of Leslie in her scene with Ted, then immediately switch attitudes when her mom showed up.  I'm very surprised with how quickly the accident story has been moving along. I was sure that it would be months if not years before people figured out it was Leslie on the motorcycle, not to mention responsible for the potassium overdose. I'm looking forward to seeing how MVJ and Guza avoid writing Leslie into a corner.  Finally, I have been loving the Articulettes story. Bonita Brisker was just the right amount of OTT - remember Sharon is supposed to be even more angry than Tracy is. If Sharon didn't come in swinging, people would say she fell flat. The way Sharon and Tracy describe the breakup is so Supremes-meet-Original Recipe Destiny's Child. I get the sense that MVJ is re-writing the Return to Love Tour as a roman a clef, and I love it. I'm looking forward to finding out what the secret they share is. If Dante Green is as shady as Berry Gordy was, it's something dark. If/when they go through with the reunion, I expect Dante to show up and claim to own the Articulettes trademark in a Lou Pearlman-esque twist.
    • Other than hanging out with Liz, all of Lucky's stories have been stalled out or dropped; the relationship with his son; his wanderlust. He hasn't been involved in any of the action/adventure or con artist stuff. I don't think he's even had a scene with Sidwell since the latter came to town. He's a real after thought. I doubt he's long for the show.
