He's a hack! He's an embarrassment to daytime soaps!!

I should've known he had a hand in today's cringy dialogue

 

Just terrible writing. Anyone on this board could be a better writer. Is Corday even watching this mess? Does he know what Jamey is doing to his parent's soap?

Why is a daytime blogger on the writing staff to BEGIN with?!

But I agree. Like Ron, Jamey is all about camp and idiocy and name dropping old character names without ANY sort of sign that he knows anything about old characters EXCEPT their names. His Sarah thinks she is Renée pitch sucked, and the execution is even worse.

Then there is the devil that hopscotches into everyone - which was old almost 30 years ago.

There is no heart. It's all camp, plot points for laughs or wacky cultural talking points, and the whole show is just awful.

I, like @Khan, could never support Jamey even through the lens of being a fellow longtime soap fan who wanted a crack at writing/producing for the genre (which seemed to be the backbone of his support on this board a little while back). He's proven himself to be driven by baseless agendas and horrible taste for years. DC just gave him a platform to exploit disgruntle soap fans.

Ambitions was a flop (some may have liked it, but being canceled after one season speaks for itself), and his scripts on DAYS makes the worst Dynasty scripts look like a Tennessee Williams masterpiece.

It is terrible that Days outstanding directors in Scott Mckinsey and Noel Maxam are being wasted directing Jamey awful dialogue.

I liked Ambitions.

All I remember from Ambitions is the terrible dialogue and Robin Givens eating the tapestry in every scene.

Well, TBF, Robin Givens is always chewing scenery.  Even in her real life.

She had a brief role on Queens and she was honestly so bad, she really have no range beyond camp and more camp 😂

She's bad even in "church plays," and God KNOWS the acting in those ain't exactly Royal Shakespeare Company-level either!

So has Corday stop caring two sh!ts about his parent's legacy show?
