I still really like Jess Walton and she can still give off perfect Jill Foster Abbott vibes. Where is she?

They seem to be right in the middle of a story with a company she OWNS.  Jill has been associated with everything Chancellor since the very beginning, and she is not part of the story line. She owns Chancellor Industries and the Chancellor mansion, her son Billy and grandson Phillip Chancellor the 4th are in both in front burner stories, but no Jill.

They would never treat Jack & Victor like this with Jabot and Newman. With women they just substitute a much younger model and go with it like nothing has happened. This show is CRAP!

The only allowable discrimination now is older woman.

If that is Keemo's kid it's a step in the right direction. If it isn't it's still a good step, since I was just waxing on about how soaps have fallen down on representation since the halcyon days of poor Mia Korf!

They do still need to bring an eligible male though, and Keemo himself IMO.

I think it's at least 50-60% they killed him off, lol. Shameful.

Lord I just saw Michael. Look, Christian LeBlanc is a very attractive older man but the thick white beard just makes him look like one of the old prospectors on Old West shows in the '60s! He looks like John Huston! There's got to be a happy medium.

These shows don’t seem particularly motivated to nurture Asian male sex symbols. Granted that’s an industry-wide failure (the few who seem to really break through are biracial or multiracial like Keanu Reeves, Henry Golding, Mark-Paul Gosselaar, or Christopher Sean on DAYS).

Ugh, what is the point of this Devon/Amanda and Chance/Abby stuff? Are they building up to a partner swap? A foursome? What?

    • And sadly I think that’s the trivia Both Jeanne Cooper and Eric Braeden went with for years and years. Lol
    • But people were hating so bad on amc and the final year and the ratings sucked. Business wise they made the right call. Oltl who even gained some ratings back and weren’t they higher as GH at one point is a decision and never understood.
    • Ann Williams was the first Maggie Powers on The Doctors but left to have a baby. Maggie was successfully recast so Ann picked up the role of Eunice (Jo's sister on Search for Tomorrow) and played that role for 10 years before being killed of in 1976. That led to her role of Margo on EON.
    • Looking at those totals it seems most contract actors are on a 1 or 2 week average guarantee. I assume contracts are still operating on 13 week cycles so you would have to know the particular actors contract starting date to work out their guarantee. The question remains as to what actors listed as contract are actually recurring? Bryton ?
    • Yep, that scene was at the conclusion of the Derek Thurston vs George Packard storyline, when Kay decided neither of them should run Chancellor.  By the time she put Victor in charge, Victor had been on the show for months & months with his Rolls Royce, his ranch, and Newman Enterprises.  SONY released some Y&R "trivia cards" in the late 1980s, and one of the questions was "who brought Victor Newman to Genoa City?" The answer on the back of the card is "Kay Thurston, to run Chancellor Industries", and it's a wrong answer lol.
    • I think someone said it did exist, but I can't remember.
    • The bit with the scarf reminds me of the fabled stuffed animal scene with Rick and Phillip. (That wasn't debunked, was it?)
    • Ohh, interesting. I instantly gravitated towards her in that episode. Of course I'm already hooked and want to know why she was trying to poison that older lady, but then how did the older lady know to switch the mugs so Susan drank her own poison...  but I have too many timelines I'm watching right now haha.  Oh, Bolger is definitely hot. I didn't realize he was on GL haha. I knew him from OLTL and other primetime stuff.
    • This is a effin shame. Eff Trump and eff the bastards that enable him.
