I just don't understand how Ejami is supposed to work when AS isn't sticking around and is already off filming another movie. She herself said she has no interest in returning full-time.  Are we just going to have this gorgeous man be in relationship limbo while AS is off filming her Hallmark movies? That would just be stupid. They need to put EJ with a character who is actually on the show full-time. He and Nicole have crazy chemistry. Nicole and Rafe certainly do not. AS and DF don't really have chemistry either.

Not to mention that Ejami is just disgusting and toxic and I have no idea why anybody would support this pairing. Sami being so clingy and codependent with him is not cute and it's not romantic. It's like Stockholm syndrome. Stick a fork in these two.

Lucas has enough scene partners too to bounce off (Kate, Phillip etc) and haven't really worked in any other pairings... so yeah, I'd say do Lumi and have Lucas on the cell/visiting Sami off screen while AS is doing movies.

Outside of everything on the show today, was anyone giggling at how long it was taking Shawn to untie one of John's rope bindings?  He was trying to untie that knot for like an entire episode.  He doesn't carry a pocket knife?  And he didn't take off John's gag until the episode was half over lol.

And then Belle untied it in one second lol.  Was the devil keeping those knots together or is Shawn just super inept?

True, Sami and EJ are toxic, but I have enjoyed the ride they’ve been on all these years.

As for today’s episode, Rafe is all over the place. It’s almost like he changes with each script writer

And MarDevil roasting Ben was funny. “A brain cell has been detected”

The devil was preventing Shawn from untying John. Once Belle knocked out MarDevil the powers she had were gone.

And no one is picking Lucas over EJ.

That was a good line. No one has really mentioned how dumb Ben is until now.

Ok ok Sheryl Underwood as the new Lexie!!

    • No. Ruth had an extramarital affair with David while married to Joe.
    • I'm not sure I agree with Bernstein's children on that. Bernstein's life and activism here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leonard_Bernstein#Social_activism_and_humanitarian_efforts
    • Thursday & Friday's episodes were excellent. The build-up was most definitely worth the wait (2 months). TMG, I can't give her enough accolades. AM, was also absolutely incredible. I think the fallout is going to have a ripple effect. The little clues that have been dropped,  hopefully, will weave seamlessly to reveal even bigger bombshells for the Dupree's and Martin.
    • Thanks, msn drives me nuts on the one hand but on the other hand their headlines appeal to me. And, I just don't do FoxNews.
    • The link doesn't work.  The actual link is this: https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/composer-leonard-bernstein-s-children-request-his-music-be-played-in-the-kennedy-center-in-rebuke-to-trump/ar-AA1E7gw5 That's a reprint of a FoxNews article. MSN reprints stuff from many sources. You can tell the source from the logo above the headline on the msn page. The FoxNews article is describing what Leonard Bernstein's children wrote -- as a "letter to the editor" of the New York Times. Instead of reading it filtered through FoxNews, here is the original: "Our Dad, Leonard Bernstein, Would Want His Music Played at the Kennedy Center" https://www.nytimes.com/2025/05/02/opinion/kennedy-center-leonard-bernstein-protest.html Non-paywall archived copy of the same NYTimes letter, without commentary: https://archive.is/QaLqD
    • Might be a long shot, because I can't find a thing online about it, but I was Googling the actress that played Nell Cleary (Frank's cop friend that went through academy and then became cops together during the entire Brent Lawrence storyline). To my surprise, she passed away in 2011, at the very young age of 45. I can't find her obituary or anything online about her passing, but I'm curious, does anyone know what happened? Her IMDB only shows a few other acting gigs post-Guiding Light, so she didn't make a career out of it, but I thought she was a great actress in her role as Cleary. Her name was Mary Peterson.
    • What was Ruth Martin's association to the Thornton family?  I only remember the daughter that dated Tad, and she had a buxom mother.  But, did Ruth date David Thorton before Joe?

Why didn't Steve respect Monica and Jeff's decision?  I get he's Jeff's father, and that's how it came out, but I don't like the ethics of the story. A stranger gets to make life or death decisions over a wife's demands?   I hope Monica secretly never forgave Steve's chauvinism.
    • Question: Jon-Michael Reed's review of 1977 is up in the retro soap section.  It includes a fleeting reference to comedic scenes between Jeanne Cooper and Julianna McCarthy regarding “Kay's would-be beau, Ralph the Plumber”.  Could someone please fill me in will more details? I forgot that Kay and Liz were friendly before Jill stole Kay's husband.  And the thought of Liz playing a comedic scene blows my mind, because I only recall her being dour both in demeanor and wardrobe.
    • I said this on Twitter on Friday when Leslie mentioned Chicago, so perhaps she might be related to one of Anita's bandmates. In addition, Leslie did say she grew up listening to The Articulettes too.
