Considering how early in development this seems to be, I think we'd be lucky if the show got a pilot order. It's also possible the script is so amazing they'll go ahead and give a series order based on the script, but I can't see them doing that for a soap reboot in primetime. Most likely we won't hear anything about it though.

It would have to be horrid to not get picked up IMO. It seems like a sure thing and not likely to be needed to be included in the normal pick up stuff. It has a built in audience and is easy to market.

I mean, numerous cast members are reuniting on that E! Reunion Road Trip thing. AMC/Pine Valley is a *name* engrained in Pop Culture.

I mean, look at how many stars this show has created. Michael B. Jordan, Amanda Seyfried, Josh Duhamel (Gellar to a lesser extent but still forever engrained in pop culture as Buffy) ... etc. Not to mention Susan Lucci, Cameron, Eva, Kelly, Mark, Debbi, Darnell etc. are all successful and recognized.

I have no concerns about this. If it's meant to be, it will be.

People watched the 'revivals' on Hulu. If done right this could do very well. Or completely flop. LOL.

It's not exactly in development since they haven't even ordered it to pilot yet. There's just a script at this point and by all accounts it's not even been sent out to reviewers. I do think this all came out way too early if it's still going ahead.

ABC Passed On Pilots Not Inclusive Enough: https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/tv/tv-news/dana-walden-says-abc-passed-on-pilots-for-not-being-inclusive-enough-4165849/

I mention this article because we know daytime soaps have a history of being lily white and ignoring their large black audience in particular. Hopefully the Pine Valley reboot is serious about featuring the Santos and Hubbard clans in a substantial way because if not, she’s making it clear she’s not going to be picking up non-diverse shows. Four out of the five shows ABC picked up have a majority black cast. AMC has the legacy and enough name minority actors to make this work. We just have to hope they don’t have that daytime mindset of keeping the black people in the background.

    • Thanks! There's never enough early 1980s AMC around.    The only actor I don't recognize is the actress playing Wanda, Mike's agent.
    • lol he sounds like he's speaking as Randy
    • Dani going to Bill's house is karma for how he messes with Martin. It is totally separate, but I can't feel sorry for Bill when he's constantly antagonizing a family he says he wants nothing to do with.
    • I understand what Lois did. I can see everyone's side, even if I don't agree with them.  That  proves it's a good story    Lois is far from ruined
    • Oh wow. Thanks so much for sharing!!!
    • The character of Lois has been ruined and trashed. There's no coming back from this mess. The current production and writing team have had no idea as to what made her special to begin with. She had a bit of moral fiber. Her treatment on the show is not atypical though, as most characters will get trashed, even beyond redemption, if it serves the current flavor of the month plotline.
    • No idea if this one had ever been up before or what the exact date is, but it's always good to look at/save the new AMC content while you can. If you're here for the drama there is some delirium with Adam and Erica about 10-12 minutes in.

    • I think there's a story to tell in someone who always believed in honesty and integrity being emmeshed in so many lies, but I agree that it wasn't very well laid out over the last few months. I think if I was more invested in Lois, I would have more of an issue than I do. Few can hold up against Jane. This is one of those cases where I think mentioning who already switched babies or have long-lost children would just take away from the fallout. If Lulu wants to drag Brook Lyn for hypocrisy there is probably still time (if the show bothers). I don't think anyone would claim these are the best GH episodes ever. It may be very lowered expectations at play. But I do think that scenes like yesterdays were some of Tracy's best, as she is a character who is often not allowed that type of moment.
    • You would think that, wouldn't you? I'd almost think they needed the money to get Robert Newman back, but they also had to know Larkin wasn't going to stick around and play second banana either. I don't get what the writers thought they were doing with Calla. Long liked using actors from Texas, but other than Alex/Bev McKinsey, the characters she wrote for them seemed blah.
