Okay, maybe this is the best thread to put this article. Like I said in the other thread, while reading this article, I couldn't help but think that the age range of viewer that Netflix wants to court with these events, the 18-45 age demographic, would have comprised most of the demographic once courted by daytime soaps back when they actually put effort into this type of thing.

I really enjoyed season 2.  Spoilers ahead.

A lot of what happened is what we've seen on daytime soaps, like Kate/Anthony/Edwina triangle, having the revelation during the wedding, the tension and build up to Kate/Antony getting together.   I love seeing stories like this.   I like all three characters and I don't think anyone was ruined, which can happen often in triangles.   On a shallow note, the Sharma women are  pretty hot! LOL

I also liked the Eloise/Penelope storyline ].  Claudia Jessie was really good in that scene where Eloise found out the truth about Penelope.  I really like her as an actress.   Would love to see more of Eloise/Theo in season 3.

    • I understood it very differently as well. I wouldn't have piled on, but @janea4old and I were clearly composing our posts at the same time (great minds think alike, and fools seldom differ). To me, she was saying that their love was an awakening.  Obviously, she loved Roman and their twins, as well as Don.  But, John revealed something to her that she had never seen before.  I actually think it is a lovely, and very optimistic, idea to think that one's third marriage could be special because you met each other at a specific time in your life. Of course, John was only her third husband if you don't count Eugene and

(aka the husband nobody mourned).  If you choose that definition, John was also her 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th husband.  However, I believe it was @carolineg who reminded us that in polite society, friends just say Happy Anniversary, and don't mention the years in between.

    • disagree on all counts To me it's obvious that what Marlena meant was that she was already a complete person within herself before meeting John; but after meeting John her life blossomed to a new level she hadn't known before. I don't think she was bound to John as back and forth caretakers. I think she and John were true equals. Roman loved Marlena in his own way but he was somewhat patronizing at times.
    • I agree that she looks good.  I wasn't slamming her, her age or her looks in my last post.  I was just commenting on the fact that her wardrobe and hair gave me Susan Sullivan/"Dharma & Greg" vibes, lol.
    • I'm sure he's going to have them - ideally not in a way that is rushed or perfunctory.
    • This must have been the week the final episode of "Newhart" aired.
    • Chance aged normally from 1988-2001 but I think he was aged a bit with his 2009 return as a war veteran and police detective.
    • I could see Liz not caring too much about the Gio reveal, but Lucky covering for Kristina almost killing people, herself included, deserves a reaction.  Lucky hardly even knows Kristina.  And the conversation just ended with Lucky going to make dinner, WHAT!!?  Maybe both Lucky and Liz are high on her painkillers lol.
    • Or at least talk about where he went after he mailed that letter
    • I cannot believe what a mess the Liz/Lucky writing is. It all seems like an afterthought and plays like filler. Liz is written like she's on a ton of pain medication and is in lala land. During the Nurses Ball, she acted "Oh, well" about the Gio reveal. Now she's "Oh, well" upon hearing what Lucky thinks of Kristina cutting the brakes on Rick''s car.
