That was exactly how I felt then and how I feel now. I'm good with her. I do still miss Mansi but I'm much more content with Miller in the role.

I do wonder if Mansi won't stick around because of Billy Flynn. It's definitely obvious Miller and Flynn have great chemistry and seem to really get along.

He did that teen soap thing on Nick that JFP ran. Right? He was, sadly, a flash in the pan teen hunk on the network and tossed aside I'm guessing. Just a hunch due to his clear problem. I could Google/imdb him but eh. I wish him the best and hope he gets better.

You're making perfect sense. For a while, it looked like they didn't know what to do with Kate, so they just kept giving her a man. Thankfully it never got as bad as it was with Hope. It has gotten better for her though, IMO, even though I'm still not sure about her pairing with Jake.

I do wish that she would be more included in Philip's storyline though.

I know. I don't get it. I guess it could be to introduce him and then bring him back later? lol. We have several recasts as it is running around. nuTheo fit right in though, IMO. Some people on social media seem to be clinging to Pettis. Probably because he had abs and showed them off on instagram (not saying CJ doesn't, lol, just using an example of fans who tend to like actors that are hot but aren't super great actors)

They could have brought Brandon back with Theo. We don't need Rafe ... we have several guys that can fill that spot (and Nicole could remain married to Eric and not paired with Rafe as brother Brandon fills that role, but I digress a bit ...)

That was my only problem with him. I liked him too, but it looked he wasn't playing an autistic character at all. And yeah, I don't understand why he was only around for a handful of episodes either. If he had come back for a story arc, in the way that Alison Sweeney does, I would've understood

Yeah the autism seemed lost. They talked about it. But he wasn't really playing it I felt. IDK. We just didn't have enough time with him. It was a weird pop in that kinda went nowhere and just makes me wish he was sticking around. But they can seemingly pass out contracts left and right to other newbies?

IDK.

Maybe Ron was struggling to find a way to bring Claire and Charlie together, which he could have done by having them play a part in the Allie/Tripp storyline.

Then again, maybe they wanted to see if CJ had chemistry with other actors in order to bring Theo back at some point in the future.

lol! I enjoyed Sami vs. Lexie over Brandon too. Lexie was always thirsty for Abe's younger relatives, like his brother Jonah and then his son Brandon. I know Lexie loved Abe but I felt she always wanted more and stuck with him because he was stable and honestly the father figure she didn't have in Stefano. Just sayin. But that's if soaps were still complex. Anywho, I still miss Renee Jones and Lexie. Sigh.

    • I’m hoping to start getting to know Vernon better this month. He’s really only been a bunch of noble and good tropes so far. I don’t want him to be taken down the way Ted has been, but it seems he was a long-running Senator and no matter what party you are, lasting longer than twenty years means you’re looking out for you (and not who you’re supposed to be looking out for) most of all. I want to get to know both Vernon and Anita beyond their Dupree posturing. Clifton Davis can sleepwalk handling the kind of material Christopher Bernau and David Lewis handled and I’d like to see more than just a saint.
    • I thought Emily/Hal was a really interesting pairing. And I think KMH played that version of Emily very well! It might not have been what people wanted from Emily, and the writing got pretty gross at the end, but I thought she embodied that character effectively.
    • Don't know if this exactly fits here, but it is connected: Does this abandoned building look familiar? It is one of those explorer videos - and the outside may look VERY familiar if one watched GH in the '70s and '80s!

    • So, I have been in the hospital all week. I am close to being up to date on my soaps. Now I have to go to the Infusion Ctr daily to get IV antibiotics, for 6 weeks. I am frankly exhausted. A hospital is no place to be when you're sick. Hooked up to machines that go beep beep beep all day & night long. Someone wakes you up every hour on the hour for something, either to stick you with needles or to take your gosh-awful blood pressure for the umpteenth time. So, you don't get any sleep. Now I have a central line, upper right chest. After they "installed" it, I said, I am now Borg. They just stared at me. Apparently scifi is not general knowledge. What happened? I have an infection inside my big toe right foot & it burned the skin on my foot. The burned skin is already better. It was like a bad sunburn. The infection inside the toe is the issue. Oral antibiotics won't even get its attention. So, IV antibiotics plus time.

As Salem bids farewell to John Black on Monday, the "Days" family and fans say a final goodbye to Drake Hogestyn.   From his time as a young man playing baseball in the minor leagues for the New York Yankees to his almost four-decade run as John Black, Drake always did his best. And, while becoming a soap opera icon, he spent almost 40 years at "Days" telling the best stories and taking the younger cast under his wing to make sure they would do their best as well. Thank you, Drake, for the legacy you have left for everyone at "Days." The impact you made on the cast, crew and fans will never be forgotten...and that's a fact.
    • I found an interview with Joseph Breen (Will Jeffries) where he mentions that Reva was put in a coma so Zimmer could go to Hollywood to do a pilot (OMG, if ONLY it had been picked up, LOL) and that Sonni and Josh and Will became a popular with the audience while she was out of commission.  If you want to read the whole thing: https://www.authorsden.com/visit/viewarticle.asp?id=47394 Breen was known for being very candid in interviews, I wish I could find more of them. I seem to recall he made a couple of snarky comments about Zimmer, implying she was not above acting like a diva. Sounded to me like he had a lot of respect for Forbes (who went on to have a very strong and varied career after GL).
    • I was so confused why Devon was prying into Nicks love life and then it clicked and I remembered they’re brother-in-laws. Shows how little I pay attention to this show anymore. I was like uh? Do these two even know each other this well?
    • The Bell soaps, B&B and Y&R: cannot watch. If I went by the last time I did I would have to give them both D- but I really don't think it counts when you're not a daily watcher.  DAYS: B+ (Now this is with the knowledge that for years I have given this show a D- because I've been a fan for too long to give it the F it deserved.) GH: A+ (With Korte driving this bus to me the show is so much better! IMO we just had the best NB in so many years I cannot count!) BTG: A solid (Things I love, a few I do not, nothing I hate, still find it in general remarkable.) As always, thanks for doing this thread. I count it. I always look for it & I always post.
    • Okay, I continue to maintain that what is so good about this particular reveal followed by umbrella storyline is that you can see & understand many different points of view where there is not one bad guy or one 100% right person.  About your stated opinion, that Lois & Gloria did the right thing, you know that this was technically an illegal adoption? For it to have been legal the father, if known, would have to have been informed & have signed off on terminating his own paternal rights. And, of course, it is clear how many people they lied to.  Personally I feel like Lois is going to take the biggest "public" blame with Lulu a close second in the blame category. I am looking forward to a tongue lashing I hope Brook Lynn gives to Gloria. I continue to be more than annoyed with Dante. First his attitude toward Gio with regards to Rocco & a drinking game & its results. Second his attitude toward Lulu. Meanwhile enjoying the show every day!
    • Lois and Gloria did the right thing I feel knowing it was Camila that raised Gio has BL feeling some jealousy No one is saying that Camila was a bad mother to Gio I believe it will be Gio saying that Camila was great to him, thanking Lois and Gloria to get BL to see truth
