I'm in shock. A few days ago I came across Alan's comment on Twitter about not seeing Nelson post for a while and did find that odd as well. I meant to email Nelson to inquire but he and I weren't really that close so I felt it wasn't my place to do so. Not knowing the circumstances of how or when, I will just say that I wish I had emailed him regardless. Whenever he and I spoke over the years, whether at the Emmys or that one time by phone, he was always kind and polite. Funny and alluring. Regardless of how he portrayed himself online or in his column, he seemed to genuinely care about the genre of soaps and the people he spoke about even when some felt he was being mean.

His light darkened way too soon. I'll miss him.

In the last few months we’ve lost Jessica Klein one of 90210’s most prolific writers and producers, Denise Douse who played Mrs. Teasley, and now I’m very sad to say Joe E Tata has passed away. Joey was truly an OG, I remember seeing him on the Rockford files with James Garner years before we worked together on 90210. He was often one of the background villains in the original Batman series. One of the happiest people I’ve ever worked with, he was as generous with his wisdom as he was with his kindness. Though the peach pit was a 90210 set, It often felt like the backdrop to the Joe E Tata show. The stories of days gone by that he would share, incredible experiences in the entertainment industry that he was a part of would keep us all captivated. He may have been in the back of many scenes, but he was a leading force, especially to us guys, on how to appreciate the gift that 90210 was. My smile dims today but basking in fond memories moves him from my eyes to my heart where he will always be.
My sincere condolences go out to his family and friends, and everyone else he was dear too. Rest In peace Joey

Thank you. I'm sure there are people in smaller roles who've died. And, Jessica Klein. I don't know why I am fixated on Tylo & Brown but their deaths & Anne's have just had such an effect on me.

This is very nice.

Nathan Scoggins speaks abt. Anne & they sang ...

This is a report on Naomi Judd's death.  The coroner had to do a detailed formal report in order to have it legally ruled as a suicide (even though that wasn't in dispute).
This article describes the report compassionately and fairly
--- and is NOT sensationalized, and I appreciate that:

If anyone wants to read about it, I suggest that link.  Instead of reading something on a more sensationalized site.

    • Jan was supposed to be a Dupree family housekeeper, which connected Ashley to Naomi... but I'm pretty sure they dropped that storyline.
    • Very sorry to hear of her passing. Aside from a few clips I've only ever "known" her through scripts and photos, but she along with the rest of the original cast helped make a show that changed daytime forever. We're still talking about one of her major stories on here to this very day.
    • That's a lovely photo. RIP.

    • I'll miss him too (still can't believe those were actual publicity photos - Joe Breen must have had a coronary), but he won't be gone forever.  Rauch did well at making people feel they were important (as long as they were willing to play along). That's probably why Erika Slezak loved him (he also gave her better story than he gave Zimmer). I think Kim has a certain amount of self-awareness but also needed to feel like she was the big star and desperately needed by the show. Wheeler was clearly incapable of expressing that.
    • Nicole has 2 assistants but no one else gets any staff (that we see). Are Dani and Hayley fixing meals and clearing blocked drains? I think they need to establish that they have some assistance. Vernon and Anita need to have a visible housekeeper. Give the Duprees some help!
    • . Her husband posted the following message: "The love of my life. The brightness in my life which is now so dimmer. In April I lost you and I miss you so much and I hope you are at peace. Lost Pam due to things beyond what was going on in her life. The original Peggy Brooks on The Young and the Restless and many more shows and commercials and then the creator of Chocolate Fortunes. So beautiful and a hell of a sense of humor. Great laugh, Great smile and Great compassion. You are my sidekick forever. Will miss you and all your sharp barbs. The angels are with you my beautiful angel. Fly safe and be happy. Much love and kisses forever."

    • I grew up in a neighborhood behind the gates and it really wasn't uncommon to have your house unlocked. In my neighborhood there was an armed gate before you enter the neighborhood and you have security patrolling 24/7. One thing that was common when I was in high school were for the kids whose parents were real estate agents to use their houses to throw house parties. It was easy because they were always unlocked.

    • I posted this a few weeks ago but it's worth popping up again as Grant does get asked about return rumors, that Paul Rauch had tried to get the show revived for years but P&G just would not sell it.

    • If those two crazy (and I do mean crazy!) kids can't make it, where's the hope for the rest of us?!
