Soap Moments You Wish You Could Have Witnessed

That would be interesting.  She brought on the rounded hub nurses station and hallways off of it didn’t she?

I know this is in no way a possibility- but wouldn’t it be interesting to see her shows and the ones she threw out and re-taped the scripts?

I don't know much about the story sequence for WTHI, so the final episode which would give way to Y&R seems like a good place to start!

I watched (what I believe) is the only surviving episode of OLTL with Gillian Spencer as Viki and Nicki at UCLA a few months ago. They played an eerie theme when Viki closes her eyes and becomes Nicki. It also seemed that everyone knew about Nicki to some degree. Gillian Spencer was much more fragile and icy than Erika Slezak's Viki.

How fascinating.  Because feom

what I have seen of her on ATWT and AMC, she was much less icy and uptight than the Viki that Slezak was playing by the 1980’s on.

I loved her as Daisy.  She was a pretty good script writer if I remember correctly!

I wish I could've witnessed the Jonah Lockwood arc on EON. Seeing as this story played around the time of Manson murders and the actor somewhat having that similar look, it must've been scary to see in real time.

AW: The Sven arc. From reading "Eight Years in Another World," this story seemed to be ahead of its time. I would love to see the scene where Dennis and Jamie finding the remains in the boathouse.

SFT: Jennifer Pace falling through the glass door. I've heard many people rave about how good it was, and I wanna see it.

She was rather icy (gathered, composed) in the episode I watched at Paley, as well. There's some not-so-great audio of her Niki on YouTube, but even that little bit is a treasure for those of us who never got the chance to see her. She seems to be affecting sort of a Bronx accent which is fun and not at all what I'd expected. I would love to see more of Gillian in those first years.

I'd also love to see a scene Erika Slezak described in an interview... Viki was ill and bedridden while Dorian gave a glamorous party downstairs at Llanfair. Dorian unveiled a portrait of herself above the mantle, hanging in place of Eugenia's. Much to the surprise of the guests and to the chagrin of Dorian, Viki makes a breathtaking entrance to the party descending the Llanfair staircase in a flowing white gown, stealing Dorian's show.

Watching the likes of Bill Bell, Agnes Nixon and Claire Labine launching their own soaps was thrilling. Not to mention the miraculous turnaround of GH under Gloria Monty and Douglas Marland, Harding Lemay's AW, Henry Slesar at the top of the game on TEON, etc.

    • Agree on Bruce Gray as Owen; they needed to cast star power. He was too lightweight against Kim and he had no chemistry with Frances Fischer except more gay buddy or daddy figure.  I loved Nola and Eliot together though. Lee Godart should have been longer term.
    • Andre has the worst fashion of the males which is off putting for someone as fine as he is. His jackets and sweaters look dated and no vintage does not work for him
    • I don’t recall MSW having a toy line in the late 80’s or early 90’s like all those Saturday morning cartoons did LOL but thought this was cute when I saw it in a vintage toy store yesterday:

    • Copying and pasting pasting this here as to not to derail the KL thread lol Wow I forgot CBS actually did try multiple attempts to come up with a soapy replacement for Knots on Thursday nights in the 10/9 slots for the 93-94 season.   Angel Falls had promise but CBS didn’t give it a fair chance. Latham’s Second Chances got even worse ratings than Angel Falls and wasn’t given a second chance when the Northridge quake destroyed the show’s sets. One West Waikiki looked gorgeous but was a blink you missed it affair. Finally we got Hotel Malibu, a quasi follow-up to Second Chances that stayed as the summer replacement series it was. CBS switched gears and had Chicago Hope air in the slot…against ER. It made the Top 30 but obviously underperformed below expectations. CBS gave up, and gave us 48 Hours for years there. It wasn’t until the 2002-03 season when CBS finally produced a Top 20 show for that spot with Without A Trace against an aging ER.
    • Of course I join in on wishing that Peacock & Corday & Sony would all together come to the conclusion that NOW would be a fine time to put some of these gems in the archive on full display!!! But, at the same time I'd like to give kudos to the fact that behind the scenes they've been doing the great work of preservation by taking tapes, etc. & converting them to modern digital formats. Besides the important fact of preserving them it means they are ready to go!

    • Bill and Hayley’s living room set should be redressed as their bedroom. We’ve not seen their gorgeous circular entry way set since the first week? Why not utilise that more and build them a living room off those double doors? The hotel room also doesn’t have a bed? Does only Dani have a bedroom?
    • as posted upthread, this interview was on that channel's youtube   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YLraEMlqtTw
