I feel badly for some of the people being adversely affected but as someone who once worked for a storied NYC cultural institution, I can tell you that there is a lot of rot on the inside that had put many of these institutions in precarious positions even before the advent of the pandemic. The #MeToo, #TimesUp and #WeSeeYou movements all attest to the deeply seeded problems embedded in these institutions. Hopefully the people who run these institutions can at least utilize this time to work towards greater equity so that things are better when the time comes for them to open up again.

Thank you, everyone for the good wishes, prayers, and hugs.

I guess I was in a daze the other day. Still am honestly.  In spite of the fact that both of my main jobs involve me interacting with people who seem to do everything in their power to NOT wear a mask sometimes, I am well. However, my brother (he is negative) had to deal with Co-Vid with his wife (she is recovering thank goodness). And I found out that my mother has it. While everyone has told me (and I have) told her to work on her vitamin D while she self-isolates...my mother also was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease a couple of years back so I'm extremely worried since I am half a continent away from her. It was also this time of year I lost my father so my anxiety is pretty high.

I never thought of my mother as weak. So to hear her on the phone like herself, but not and with a cough. I...I just don't know what to do. But...so far, so good.

Your anxiety level must understandably be high @Taoboi still, remember that it is vital that you take care of yourself and part of that self-care is to try to reduce your stress level. Vitamin D is an excellent idea, for the well as well as the unwell. Many of us tend to be deficient, particularly during the colder weather months, an this has consequences for our immune system.

So, Baron was diagnosed with COVID-19. Anybody see Javanka lately?

    • Maybe they were a soap fan who was sick of missing Y&R, haha And I second the praise Jason, you're an absolute legend and thank you for your great detective skills
    • That is amazing and incredibly random, whatever nut that called in that bomb threat in 1973, if he's still alive, has no idea the confusion he'd created for soap fans 50 years later.

Amazing research skills!!! I'm in awe, seriously!
    • @Liberty City  I think there is a quoting glitch.  I've seen similar things happen on other threads by other posters. I started a tech support thread here:
    • @Errol  this has happened several times in past week or two by various posters in on various threads. This has occurred several times, to the point where I think there is a glitch in nested quotes. PersonA posts something.   PersonB quotes PersonA and replies. Then PersonC tries to quote what PersonB had quoted, and the *result* is that the original thing that PersonA said, becomes quoted by PersonC as if had been originally said by PersonB. One example is on the OLTL thread, and I posted the example of what happened within that thread:  Here:   (Link to example on OLTL thread) There was a similar thing on the BTG May thread, but too complicated to quote there or here, so I PM'd the links to Errol. It was same thing. Person B quoted Person A.  PersonC tried to quote PersonA, but due to nested quotes, it inadvertently got misattributed to PersonB. I have observed this several times in past week or two by various posters. At first, I thought each one was a random human error, but there have been enough of these recently for me to think that there might be a technical glitch on the messageboard. I know that the messageboard doesn't *display* nested quotes of more than one layer, but there seems to be a citation ghost that remains now.
    • pales by comparison with smitty and martin. however bad what martin did, after so much discussion, it’s going to feel anti climatic
    • Today's show was completely meh to me. -- I'm frustrated with the Articulettes story. I know it's early, but we've had countless conversations between Anita and Tracy, and we've learned nothing specific about what happened.       Yes, Sharon is "the angry one," but why would Anita agree to go on tour and talk to Sharon without even discussing those past problems with Anita? It makes no sense. -- We're supposed to feel bad for Chelsea and her unrequited love, but I still think it's a problem that no one's mentioning that she wanted to break up a marriage.      She spoke today about the "3-way relationship," but we never saw her invested in the guy in any way, shape, or form. She wanted the woman. She needs to get with someone who isn't damn married or in a relationship.  -- Another Hayley pregnancy? Already? I'm not crazy about the timing on this. Honestly, I wanted fireworks with the Hayley character and not watching her walk around with a big belly and then a stroller. -- Tomas is still painfully awkward, although I do like looking at him and I love his voice. I also think it's strange that he and Kat are having conversations that every other couple would have on their first or second meeting.      Haven't these two been seeing each other for a couple months? It's as if they know nothing about each other. -- I still dislike almost every fade to commercial, and it takes away from the scene we just saw. It's like putting a comma at the end of a sentence instead of a period -- these fades do not make a statement. It's clearly intentional, but I will never get on board with whatever it is they're doing.
    • Because, of course. Criminals gonna criminal together.
    • It's interesting that LIAMST got cancelled over LOL or SS , both of which rated lower. I guess other factors came into play.
