but i just read at SoapHub that MY has been cut loose and that Josh Griffith is taking over at the show. any truth to this?

Other websites are reporting it as well.

Josh already HW Y&R and it was awful. There is nothing to cheer about in the news. Mal is gone but Josh is no better. Josh is only good as a SW.

I don't understand why they keep turning back to him. it reminds me of pro wrestling when I was young...they would put the NWA, AWA or WWF World Titles on some popular flash in the pan. when he didn't draw they would turn back to the people who were great champions....and that's the diff. here to me. JG is HORRIBLE at writing anything, yet he must have pictures because they keep giving this fool the reigns.

They do it because he is cheap, burnt out and does as asked by Sony/CBS. Same as most of these folks.

I liked Mal in the beginning, not sure what happened behind the scenes, but the show is pretty dreadful now.

True or False... wasn't there a rumor that Josh Griffith had a meltdown when he was head-writing under JFP?

 

I think Griffith knows how to write within a soap opera structure and is pretty strong in regards to character.. but his solo stints have always been luckluster though he was strong with writing characters within character.  

 

My guess is that he's a place holder until another head-writer steps in... or he will be paired with another writer to share duties.

 

I just love how he pretty much says it was his idea to leave.

And Mal...a quick FYI....the scripts are worse and so are the production values.
