I think that Mal Young might be a good fit for GH. His innovative production values could really accentuate Shelly Altman’s modern storytelling sensibilities. She needs an equally strong partner like the one that she had in Jean Passanante. I am thinking of the camera work during Jack and Phyllis’s breakup and how that sort of setup could add to GH. 

Mal Young as an experiment has failed.  The show looked marginally better at times than when JFP was there, and his stories were a mess and his useage of the cast was awful.

 

That show loosing someone like Mishael Morgan for no good reason shows he should not be running a show again.  On these last four soaps, what new character and actress has hit it as hard and with as much promise in the last 5 years or so?  Even if you didn’t watch Y&R but followed soaps you had an idea of who she was.  Add to that Eileen?  No.  He’s done.  He’s a no for me on GH.

And I am not here for another round of Shelly Altman is a modern dynamo and Passanante was amazing.  I am not here for that again on these boards.

I was specifically meaning Mal’s camera work and use of set space (caveat: not the small size of sets).

 

And I have no clue what you mean by “another round.” I am new here as of yesterday.

Vee, are you referring more to Mal Young’s production values or his poor casting decisions. Even still, GH, arguably, can only go up from here with its casting of actors and in terms of using actors consistently across the canvas.

bio mom to the child Lucas and Brad were adopting.  Julian had gone to her when she had changed her mind about wanting the baby back.  This all happened off screen.

Willow suddenly got a little more interesting to me. I just hope the speculation about her being Nina's daughter isn't true. I'm so sick of seeing MS every day.

At least a portion of Jonny's behavior was calculated and deliberate.
