Members robbwolff
Good topic. Lisa Peluso is very active in her faith. I recall reading about her work here in New Jersey a few times.

Members amybrickwallace
Yes, she regularly posts Bible verses on her FB page and has gone on several overseas mission trips with her husband and kids. I really have a lot of respect for her.
Members Faulkner
Michelle Stafford is a Scientologist. Michael Fairman (ex-Murphy, Y&R) was excommunicated from the group and talks about it here. https://www.villagevoice.com/2011/04/27/michael-fairman-talks-to-the-voice-after-his-scientology-excommunication/
Members titan1978
Jamie Lynn Bauer sounded like so much fun to work with. Can’t even have a little makeup room fun with horoscopes with her there. I wonder if Austin Peck is still as devout. I also wonder how these people would have reacted if they were still in he show when Will started kissing boys. Judging from how open Jensen Ackles seems now, both in content on his show and with his fandom, he must be less evangelical than he seemed as a kid. Members I Am A Swede
In my opinion religious beliefs are a personal matter which should be kept out of the workplace.
Members amybrickwallace
I see where you are coming from. I also have a big respect for people who truly live their faith and don't shove their beliefs down the throats of others. In the soap world, people like Jonathan Jackson, Lisa Peluso and Julianne Morris really exemplify that.
Members Soaplovers
I did like that Julianne Morris fought for her character not to have sex before marriage, but that even though the show didn't change it.. they did add the regret to not waiting where it was something she could play as an actress. So it was a compromise. I know Jenn Lilley also expressed being a Christian (she played Esther in a movie based on the bible character)... but that she said she isn't playing herself, but playing a character. And lets face it, her character Theresa always got punished for lying and scheming.
Members amybrickwallace
That's something that happens in real life all the time, and I'm glad a compromise was struck.
Members Fevuh
Good Lord. Is no one going to mention Kimberlin Brown? She's basically a cross burner. Austin and his Pecs are not devout.
Members amybrickwallace
In the primetime soap front, Susan Howard (Donna Culver Krebbs, Dallas) has been vocal about her Christianity for decades - even co-hosting The 700 Club in the late 1980s. Here is a more recent article about her ministry for fatherless boys, 2015: https://www.fathersinthefield.com/defending-the-cause-the-importance-of-community/
Members Paul Raven
Mentor fathers and boys meet four times a month...plan a special outdoor activity (camping, hunting, fishing, riding) women also offer invaluable insights into the needs of a single mom and the challenges that she faces. They are “wired” differently than men and think of things that men would never come up with. One example is that our women’s Bible study collected money to give to the Field Buddies (under the Mentor Father’s supervision) to buy their mothers flowers for Mother’s Day. Women could pick up the daughter(s) and take them some place special. Another idea is to give a gift certificate to the mom for Mother’s Day to get a manicure.
