Along with the women who have enabled and stood by these predators. I really have to keep reminding myself that there are good men and good people in this world.  There are days I wonder what kind of hellhole I brought children into.

What I'm stuck on is her comment about Spacey being a comfort to her after her husband's passing, as if that exonerates him (at least in her eyes) of his crimes.  I'm not saying that's what she said exactly -- she's probably as appalled as the rest of us -- but it's coming across that way to me.

It's like what Trevor Noah suggested not too long ago on "The Daily Show": we need to get out of this mindset that people can't exhibit both good and bad behavior.  Just because someone is a close friend to you, or helps you through a rough time, doesn't mean they're not capable of harassing or assaulting women or men, or molesting children, or what-have-you.  Someone could be a devoted husband and father, good friend and neighbor, pleasant co-worker, active member in his or her church community, Boy Scout leader, you name it -- and they could also be someone who lures underaged boys and girls into his den, drugs them, molests them, then threatens to harm their loved ones if they tell anyone.

I think the best thing you (or any parent) can do is to remind your children that the purpose of life is to leave the world better than how they find it.

Like Angela Lansbury, Judi Dench is an older woman of a certain era in a different country. I disagree but I'm not going to pillory her over it. I also doubt she knows the full story, which is her own mistake.

Good point(s), Vee.

I've watched enough "Law & Order" reruns to know that "subpoenas = trouble."

Has it been just one year?  To me, it's felt like more five.
