I assume they anticipate the need for unscripted content because of the strike.  This is good because I am old enough to recall the 1988 strike when ABC resorted to Full House re-runs multiple times per week.

I'm looking forward to seeing Eric Roberts. That's a pretty nice coup! He's one of the busiest, most prolific actors around. I think he's at or near the top of most credits on IMDB for a living actor, over 600 productions. I've even seen him in a few Italian films/miniseries. 

I'm older, not into sports, bachelors or Disney, lol, so I know like 3 of the contestants...pretty much every year.
